Betty helped me immensely with my resume and job search. She worked on it with me to make it more professional and resonate with prospective employers. We had several in depth meetings about what I wanted to do with my degree, what type of jobs that interested me, where I'd like to live, what kind of work environment suited me, etc. Before working with Betty I had little idea of the direction I wanted to move with my career. Betty helped me pursue jobs I was passionate about. When I was chosen for an interview Betty helped me prepare by coming up with some potential interview questions and talking me through some things I should expect. Her advice was crucial and I felt confident and relaxed during the interview and ended up landing the job. I would recommend Achieve Career Consulting to anyone. Betty does everything she can to help you succeed and put you on track to have the career you've always wanted.

Lynn has opened my eyes to nutrition. There's so much more to it than just what you eat. Your mind set, your surroundings and so much more. She looks into all that, and takes time to get to know who you are as a person. From that she develops and works with you to figure out the best way to hit your goals. And in the process help you find the self confidence you may have lost. For me Lynn is an amazing nutrition coach, person, and anyone would benefit to have her in their lives.

My conversations with Laura gave me the courage to quit my job (one that I was not incredibly enthusiastic about) to return to the field I’m sure I was born to work in. Realizing it was time for me to take a risk was frightening at first, but she believed in me and cheered me on as needed. Her enthusiasm was contagious; and when I doubted myself, she knew just what I needed to hear in order to continue moving forward. >>>>Or here is some of the guest blog post info: So we started. And in our first session, I felt I was all over the place. Revelations and ah-ha moments popping off like fireworks. She listened and coached and asked questions and I was a mix of faith and excitement and sheer joy! And then she did what she's always done that has impressed me and she asked me a question that seemed completely out of left field but which, of course, turned out to be completely related when she asked me about my "relationship with stress". I got quiet. And was a bit stumped. When I hired her to coach me toward my passion, toward my purpose, I was thinking it was going to help guide me in clarity toward a particular role or job in education. To help me figure out a specific path toward (I hate to admit this but...) the "top". I wanted to know how I was going to get my money's worth from the several degrees I've added to the rungs of my educator belt. How I was going to make the biggest impact from a managerial and leadership role. How I was going to make bank and run stuff. It was a tough pill to swallow. And I had to admit it to myself - and to Laura - and then respond honestly. And when she asked me about my relationship with stress, I knew this was God giving me an opportunity to shift my thoughts from "my plans" to His will. And when I could admit these things to myself, I had an almost immediate shift in what I was willing to do and was able to humble myself and consider next steps that would keep stress at a minimum and allow us to still have some amazingly wonderful experiences.

Keith has a very firm but gentle focus on goals and forward movement. He listened well and picked up on issues I wasn’t fully aware of. He helped me quickly to identify my objectives and how to pursue them while supporting me to keep my obstacles at bay. He had a very calm and intuitive approach never rushing me and I always left our session with great confidence and uplift. He encouraged and acknowledged me substantially and made our sessions fun and productive. I benefited greatly from his coaching and would recommend him to others.

I am sooo very glad that I was matched with Venus. My daily life is happier and healthier than I had hoped when I started. She is inspiring and helps you do the workouts and small changes I knew I could do but was maybe afraid to do. She is very professional and goes beyond what a typical work out person would provide. She helps you along continually with uplifting daily messages and support during workouts. I would refer anyone at any level to her.

Someone who can reveal information about your past lives is truly a treasure. Keridak has uncovered more than one past life that parallels my current stint here on earth. Each past life uncovered has shown me a trait, habit or emotional connection/feeling that has been brought forward to help shape who I am today. This is an amazing experience to go through. I encourage everyone to have this type of enlightenment with Keridak. She has truly opened my eyes. Thank you...what a difference you have made in my life.

Hi, my name is Sara "Coach" Lasker, and I have been a PWD T1D for 34 years. I am a MEd, MCHES, RMA, CDE. The first fortune cookie I ever had said "Life is a bold and Daring Adventure" and since then it has been my life motto. I was diagnosed on May 28, 1983. Through the rollercoaster of life diabetes has not slowed me down: I have been to all 50 states, lived overseas, run several half marathons each year, and volunteer at events for people who live with Type 1 Diabetes. Life with Diabetes can be hard! I have paid way too much money for insulin, been in a car accident from a low, and lost pieces of my memory from an anoxic event related to a seizure. But through it all, family, friends, pets, and finding the positive have helped me to live a happy, healthy life. You have your medical team to help with the clinical side of diabetes I am here to give you Occupational, Social, Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, and Environmental resources to make it through your day. About

I am vivacious, observant, understanding, mindful, aware, compassionate, curious and a life-long learner. I am Puerto Rican. I love people. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. I am fascinated by human complexity and by how robust and resilient we truly are. This fascination with our psychology made me study Literature! WHAT?! YES... Literature. Books are one of my greatest passions because there you can study society at another level which, in many occasions, supersede reality. On the other hand, books deal with trauma and grief, with how to live in the world managing different kinds of losses, wants and needs. Books forced me to become aware of my journey and existence with all that being mindful and aware entails. This profound interest in healing societal and cultural traumas led me to work with hospice and to do some work as a grief support specialist. By day, I work as a language instructor at the university level. There I support my students in developing their critical thinking to reflect upon the world and on themselves. I also work with hospice as I develop my practice. On my free time, you will find me reading, singing my heart out on #Smule , crocheting, spending time with my family and friends or just trying something new. In my coaching practice, my main purpose is for clients to break through the obstacles that hold them back in life. With my unusual background, my extensive readings and intellectual preparation, my knowledge, my life experiences, and my training, I bring lots of resources and ideas to the coaching experience that I provide. By asking the right questions and empowering you with the proper tools and techniques, I will support you to take action in the pursuit of your goals. Life is too short to be unhappy or unfulfilled. I cannot wait to support your evolution!

Most coaches want you to see where they have obtained their education, and the licenses they have; I want my clients to see that I have experienced and conquered many tests and trials in what I teach to them, share with them, and encourage them to stay away from. My work with my clients allows me to be transparent, but not so personal that we forget the tasks at hand. I am the coach that will hold my clients accountable so that they do not have to go through what I went through.

What is a career coach?

If you’re interested in furthering your career and want expert help, a career coach is a smart solution. A career coach is a professional you hire to guide you during a job search or a career transition, or to help you improve and advance in your current position. A career coach analyzes your work situation and learns what your professional goals are. They then create a strategy to help you achieve your targets. Throughout the process they should provide objective feedback and guide you in approaching the process strategically. Here are some of the tools and tasks a career coach may assist you with:

  • Helping you build a strong resume that reflects your work history, potential, and skills
  • Coaching for interviews and strategies for solid answers built around your resume and the target job
  • Defining your career goals
  • Creating a plan for job searching
  • Improving networking strategies and skills
  • Developing strategies for negotiating raises or promotions
  • Assessing why you’re not getting where you want to go
  • Identifying new positions or career opportunities that fit your skills

Why is career counseling important?

Career counseling can help you discover your career path, help you overcome challenges preventing you from finding happiness in your job, or help you learn more about career opportunities that are available to you. Career counselors are typically counselors who specialize in helping guide people into their best career choices. As professionals, they have typically completed a master’s degree in counseling with a focus on career counseling and bring a nuanced understanding of the emotional blocks that prevent someone from doing what they love or getting ahead in their current position. Here are some of the ways that career counseling can help:

  • Identify your skills and talents and how they correlate to different career paths
  • Educate you about the educational requirements for launching in various careers and what earnings can look like
  • Help you understand the kind of environment you want to work in, and which careers are best suited for that
  • See opportunities to transfer your existing skill set to other career areas
  • Help you identify causes of tension or unhappiness in your current career and how to overcome those difficulties
  • Help you create a game plan for moving forward
  • Provide a safe space for you to understand your feelings about career choices you’re making

What is a career counselor?

If you’re feeling lost in your career path, overwhelmed, in need of a job but confused as where to start, or ready for change but uncertain what you want, a career counselor is a good choice for you. A career counselor is typically a licensed professional who has earned a master’s degree in counseling — likely with an emphasis on career counseling. Each state has different licensing requirements for career counselors, so be sure to research before reaching out to a pro.

Due to their academic backgrounds, career counselors often have a more holistic and in-depth approach than a career coach. Career coaches are not regulated by states and also tend to be more business-focused — a good fit for those who know what they want but need help achieving it. On the other hand, a career counselor provides guidance and clarity around some of the more emotional aspects that job hunting and career movement entail. Career counselors meet with you in a series of one-on-one sessions. They assess your personality and learn what drives you. They get a detailed understanding of your work history and your hopes, and often work to help you discover any internal blocks preventing you from going where you want to go. Hiring a career counselor is appropriate at any time in your career, from recent graduate to executive-level management.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

When it’s time to take your career to the next level, it’s time to hire a career coach. The cost to have a career coach help you with your professional journey will vary based on how many sessions you require, the level of coaching you desire, and the rates of the coach as determined by their experience, expertise, education and training. On average, career coaching sessions can range from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the professional and what your needs are. Career coaches in smaller towns and areas with a lower cost of living will also typically have lower rates than those residing in large metro areas like New York, although most do offer remote coaching. Many coaches also offer a free introductory consultation, which gives you the opportunity to determine if their personality and coaching style are the right fit. It’s helpful to ask the coach about their relevant experience and get references from former clients. Depending on the professional, session rates could range anywhere from under $60 to well over $250 per session. Package discounts are a good way to commit to the relationship as well as get savings on services.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

A career coach provides one-on-one sessions to help you reach your career goals or overcome any challenges you’re having in your career path. The cost to have career coaching can vary based on factors such as the number of sessions you purchase at one time and the experience and rates of your counselor. Career counselors are typically professionals who have earned at least a master’s degree in their field. Based on their academic background, supplemental certifications they have received, and any postdoctoral work they have done, their rates may vary. Typically career counselors offer reduced rates when you sign on for their services on an ongoing basis. A typical price range for career counseling services (nationally) could be $75-$150 per session. Remember to always ask if the career counselor offers a complimentary introductory session. You want to make sure the relationship will be the right personality and counseling style fit to help launch your confidence and upcoming career changes.
