I've been taking guitar lessons from Ken for 3 weeks now. I had tried to learn on my own for several years and never got anywhere. This is why I decided to find an instructor using this service. Before I even met Ken he tought me some things I wasn't aware of - not finding it in any videos or written materials online. I think a lot of people that play instruments forget what it is to learn it. Ken has helped with this, I was pressing on the strings too hard and in the wrong areas. He helped with holding the guitar correctly, tuning it, and more. In three weeks I can play 6 chords already, and made more progress than what I did on my own over 3 years. So far, so good!
Mike is very knowledgeable and great at putting the information into a context that you can understand. He clearly has a knack for teaching guitar. I'm taking advanced lessons and feel like I already learned a lot just in our 1hr consultation. I'm looking forward to continue working with him and definitely suggest him to anyone looking to learn guitar. Having lessons in a studio is also a big bonus!
The service is beginner Guitar. Guy has a great personality for making his students feel comfortable. His greatest attribute is his patience and relaxed method of teaching. He takes the time to repeat and slow it down until the student gets it, including demonstrating on his guitar. He also demonstrates how common chord progressions are used in popular music. His down fall (or maybe mine) is the information comes fast with only a week to practice, I some times feel I am not progressing at the rate I should be. But his assurance and confidence in me keeps me practicing hard. I would recommend him to anyone interested in learning how to play the guitar.
On going guitar lessons would recommend Emily to family and friends.
I've been learning from Jon for over 3 years now. I am 48 years old and have wanted to play guitar forever. Jon's attention and desire to teach is unsurpassed by any other teacher I've been to. Jon constantly goes out of his way to help his students including bit not limited to hosting live events for his students to get a real stage feel for the instrument and how it feels to be a real musician. He is always caring and takes the time to get to know his students and what they want to achieve. His studio setting and teaching practices are relaxing and focused. I would not look for another instructor.
Paul is very knowledgeable in the art of guitar. He keeps the lessons fun and interesting and he gives very good exercises to practice at home. He is an awesome guitar teacher and I would highly recommend him.
Patty is a great guitar instructor. Our son has taken lessons from her for 5 years, starting at 5 years old. Patty has proven to be a wonderful teacher for all ages. I highly recommend her.
We have had other guitar instructors in the past, but we have had enormous success with Mark as their instructor. Both of our kids have accelerated their learning far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Mark the Guitar Teacher!
Jimmy does a really good job of teaching me what it is that I want to learn and get out of playing guitar. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented which gives him the instant credibility but also teaches in a very relaxed manner that makes learning fun and enjoyable. He's already helped me improve my technique and learn songs that have stood in my way for many years. Jimmy is very flexible to work with as far as scheduling goes and will come to your home to do lessons. It takes all hassle out of guitar lessons and eliminates any excuse not to improve. I highly recommend lessons with Jimmy.
I teach guitar, not just songs. Yes, songs are the finished product, but there is a difference between knowing how to play a few songs, and knowing how to play guitar. The difference is in not only knowing what you are playing, but why. No, you're audience probably won't care if you know the names of the notes and chords you play, or even what key you're playing in. You play the songs for them, but knowing music and music theory is for yourself. So, if you just want to learn how to play some songs, there are some great websites that can give you all you need to know. Save your money and use them. However, give me a call because you're ready to learn guitar, not just songs.
Have had one lesson so far and really like Larry
I have been a guitar student at Mike's Music Studio for five years, and my experience here has been incredible. As a guitar student here, I feel that I am always able to learn at a comfortable pace, and Mike does a fantastic job of helping me learn the music that I am interested in. Mike is an extremely helpful, patient, and kind teacher, and I always feel that I am truly valued as a student. During my time at Mike's, I have not only enjoyed learning how to play guitar, but my playing ability has improved immensely, and I am sure that anyone who starts taking lessons at Mike's will have a similar experience.
I teach individual guitar lessons that focus on the needs of each student. I will travel to your home, or I may have clients at my apartment. No experience is necessary by the student. This will be catered to your taste!
I have been teaching basic music theory/rhythm, along with improvisation and fret board logic as well as chords and scales. My influences include hard rock, blues/funk and some metal. Prices range from half-hour to 1-hour lessons, along with distance to location of the lesson.
Many guitar teachers and books focus on a set of basics, and building songs around very basic principles for beginners. Though this works, it causes many students to lose interest and give up, since the music they love seems so far away. I'm here to show students what they're striving for is attainable, and their goals are going to be met.
I have an unending passion for music, and work as hard as I can at it. I try to put my values into my music as well.
I'm Zach. I've been playing for about 9 years, and I'm at the point where I'm starting to teach others, and it's exciting! We can go over anything you'd like (guitar tone, beginner, intermediate and advanced techniques, chords, scales, modal scales etc.) or we can stick to a basic, from-top-to-bottom lesson plan.
I have been playing drums and percussion for 12 years now and am very experienced reading and improvising. I have also been playing guitar for over 15 years now, and I have given lessons in the past.
I am a leader in the Milwaukee area for guitar lessons and general music lessons. I am working with beginner to experts, ages 7 and older.
Have you ever tried guitar lessons and wondered why it was so difficult to learn? Ninety-nine percent of all guitar teachers start with standard EADGBE tuning. My method makes it much easier to play instantly using DADGAD tuning. This tuning is easier because it uses two finders instead of three and four for most chords. Plus, it sounds better. I don't show how to learn cover songs. Anyone can get tab on the Internet. What I teach is a way to write and sing songs. I offer easy-way lessons at $10.00 per hour.
