Swedish massage (standard),
My experience was not a typical massage. While it was not a totally unpleasant experience, I do feel that it was extremely misleading to respond to a request for quote for deep tissue massage and then not perform a regular massage. Very different experience.Oct 15, 2017
Deep Tissue Massage
Julie is a dream come true! She was prompt, did a very thorough assessment of my problem areas, communicated clearly throughout the session and frequently checked in with me to be sure that I was satisfied. Honestly, she's so thorough and professional I think the only way I'd be unhappy would be if I failed to give her feedback. I feel very fortunate to have found such a lovely and experienced massage therapist that will travel to my home and look forward to future sessions with her!Nov 9, 2016Verified

Julie came in to my home, listened to my back pain concerns, did an physical assessment and provided an excellent holistic treatment that leveraged her PT and massage backgrounds. Her treatment was very effective in reducing my back pain immediately.Aug 6, 2015Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My fees are based on an hourly rate. A session can be as long as you request.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I complete a general history of surgeries, accidents and pain levels and location. I complete a posture assessment and look at spine and shoulder flexibility if appropriate. This isn't a usual massage. A session includes a lot of connective tissue releases and calming of the nervous system.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Every year I attend a conference or 2 with one related to nutrition or weight management due to the fact that obesity is an epidemic in our country and chronic pain. I learn the most recent research and how it applies to everyday life and what recommendations to give to my patients. As our population ages, I also attend conferences related to dementia and arthritis so I am aware of the recent information in these area.
