Outstanding! I love Kenosha Conservatory of Music and my lessons!
Jared was a wonderful drum and violin instructor for my two sons. He helped them improve and learn, but made sure it was fun. I highly recommend him.
I enjoyed practicing with Tim. I only lived in the area for a short time, but he was helpful. I think anyone would benefit from his lessons.
Michael is an excellent teacher. He tailors his lessons based on the specific things I wanted to learn. He explains things in terms that are easy to understand and has an easy going demeanor that makes the learning environment very comfortable. After just two lessons I saw much improvement in my technique. I would highly recommend hiring Michael as a teacher.
Although playing well and being able to read music all help to make a good teacher, it takes more than those basic skills for one to be a great teacher. Mr, Jim Kube is a caring and kind person who demonstrates the type of interpersonal qualities found in only few people - and he communicates in ways which assist to establish meaningful relationships and results (can one truly happen without the other?). There are many places to take drum lessons - though there is only one Mr. Jim. If you are lucky enough to live within driving distance of Mr. Jim consider yourself a very lucky student, indeed. I give hime “5 Stars” (out of 5). :) Happy drumming, Ed Francis Artistic Director, Rhythm Workshops Master Drum Coach, Round Rock Drums
I am very grateful to have met Matt at Cedarburg Music. After playing guitar for 14 years I decided I needed a fresh perspective, and I signed up for my first ever guitar lesson – a very smart decision. I have taken private lessons from many different teachers for other instruments, and I feel Matt is the best teacher I have ever had for several reasons. Matt takes you as you are, and points you in the direction YOU want to go with great advice. Never once has he ever forced "his opinion" about what's good music. Instead it's a discussion, and he gets you to think. Matt knows his music theory. We often study modal theory, and focus on the intervalic separation of the notes in relation to chord tones with a keen ear toward dissonance and resolution. In my opinion, this is what separates quality musicians from those who just spray notes. A lot of teachers I've had are extremely NOT creative. They just tell you to buy a book and do what it says, then the lesson comes and it's a rehearsal. Sorry; I can do that on my own. But with Matt, it's much different. If we work from a book, we focus on understanding and applying the concepts the book lays out. This involves discussion, interaction and playing notes not written in the book. Most importantly, I am more inspired than ever with my playing, and my confidence in my compositions is growing. I believe I am getting better. Believe me, after over a decade of playing it's easy to feel like you're spinning wheels and not getting anywhere. It's a great feeling to know in my heart that I've got that ball rolling again! Thanks, Matt!
Frank is the best choice for great music lessons, I had him as my drum instructor for around 3 years. He taught me everything I know now and helped me build a foundation to be a great drummer. I Highly recommend him to anybody wanting to learn how to be a great musician and have FUN at the same time too!!!
He was a great instructor every thing was easy to understand and went at the pace I needed so I could understand what I was doing and still have fun with it.

We have a service policy after purchase of an instrument that is tops in the industry. I also record teachers, students, and customers by appointment. We do rock out with customers at times. I teach snare drum, drum set, hand drums, hand percussion, and improvisation. I mainly use my own books/teaching methods and base my instruction on each students needs and goals. I have been both performing and teaching drums & percussion for over 40 years. I've also written about music and musicians for both magazines & books. From 1983-2008, I was a contributing writer for MODERN DRUMMER magazine, writing feature interviews, technical articles, and both product and music reviews. I've also written for AVANT (UK), DownBeat, Rhythm, and many other music magazines. Among my books are: WHEN IN DOUBT, ROLL! (with Bill Bruford), PERCUSSION PROFILES (with Trevor Taylor), and THE THINKING DRUMMER series of instructional books. My long running blogs, ‘The Way of the Gong’™, and, ‘Percussion Deconstruction’™, have been embraced by both the meditation/sound therapy and percussion communities. I have presented clinics and workshops at schools/universities, yoga studios, and music stores, as well as workshops at the prestigious Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in 2005 & 2012. In 2016 I was the ‘Artist in Residence’ at the MONA FOMA Festival in Hobart, Australia. I use and endorse Paiste cymbals/sounds/gongs, Mike Balter Mallets, and Orpheus Percussion. PRESS QUOTES: Bettine’s work is the sonic equivalent of action painting. Using mallets as brushes and the Gongs as a canvas, he creates vast washes of vibration and punctuates them with stabs and slashes of crescendo. He’s a combination of abstraction and visceral physicality. Brian Ritchie, curator of MONA FOMA, Hobart, Australia Bettine played the room as much as the instruments, exploring the beating tones of vibrations that when combined sounded like a train rumbling underground. Creating a shifting wall of sound that washed over the audience, Bettine offered us a distinctive exploration into the craft of percussion. ~ Delia Bartle, Real Time Arts, Australia Sinking into Bettine's sound world is fascinating and inspiring. ~ MODERN DRUMMER magazine Bettine has a unique vision that sets him apart from the hoards. ~ DRUM! magazine Bettine is essential listening for percussionists and anyone interested in solo free-oriented music. ~The Improvisor

I run a drum-lesson business that caters to the learning needs of each individual I work with. I choose the name Drum Geek Drum Lessons, because I don't just teach notes. I like to also dive in to the history of drumming and music. I feel this provides a better understanding of the notes that will also be taught.
I am looking for young or elderly beginner drummers. I have experience in a multitude of percussion instruments, and I incorporate this into my drum-set teaching.
I get excited every time I can help inspire someone new to play the drums .
