Jen's Gentle Yoga class is every time a new experience, as she moves us gently in to the asanas, tells us to listen to our bodies as we go deeper into the stretches and twists. My body is invigorated, yet relaxed after each session.
Melissa was a personal yoga instructor for my husband and me, providing a one-hour, in-home, early morning yoga session once a week for over a year. Melissa's guidance and teaching helped me develop my confidence and skills in yoga from my initial stages as a novice to a place where I now have confidence to practice on my own or to try classes. She was a master at listening to my needs on a particular day and tailoring our practice to address them, integrating just the right amount of comfort and familiarity with skills I'd already learned and introducing new challenges. She struck the perfect tone between fun and meditative practice, careful to read my mood and respond appropriately; she was always attentive to the setting, music, level of exertion, external stresses of a particular day, etc. My yoga time with Melissa was almost invariably my favorite hour of the week. Melissa communicated very clearly about the logistics around this arrangement, was always prompt and prepared, and checked in regularly to make sure she was meeting our expectations. I honestly cannot think of how the situation might have been improved. We had to bring the arrangement to an end because of life changes/schedules, and I very much miss both the regularity and accountability of the practice with an instructor in my home but also the presence of Melissa in our lives. She's caring, uplifting, and fun!
Steph is a great yoga instructor! Before starting her class, she asked what we would like to focus on and has really tailored the classes to our needs. Every class we focus on a different area, or learn a new stretch or pose. The variation keeps the classes fun and fresh and always has me counting down the days until the next week! Steph also has a great selection of music!! I am newer to practicing yoga and Steph has definitely inspired me to continue being a "yogi" :)
Dr. Paul is a very knowledgeable person. Dr. Paul is thorough and very approachable. The office environment is warm and inviting, with many services offered. I still have to check out the yoga and massage personally, but have heard good things from those who have attended.

I would get massages on a regular basis, but once I got a Thai massage from Beth, I have never had another. Excells at Thai massage but brings so much more with her reiki skills and insight. I really appreciate Beth now that she has relocated and I have gone to others for Thai massage....no comparison!

Waterloo yoga meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm or Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6:20-7:20 am in the beautiful Mode theater at 121 South Monroe Street in Waterloo,Wisconsin. The Waterloo yoga studio provides mats, blankets, straps and blocks. Wear loose fitting clothing and come join us in a relaxed atmosphere. Classes are ongoing and new students may start at any time. The instructor has studied and practiced the Iyengar method of Hatha yoga since 1981 and has been teaching since 1995. Classes have been offered in Waterloo since April of 2008 and range in size from 2-10 students.

I am a yoga teacher who teaches both private and group classes. I received my training at Yogasylum in Brookfield, WI, and I'm registered with Yogaalliance as a RYT-200. I believe yoga is for everyone, no matter what your abilities are, and I feel it is excellent for a mind and body connection. I enjoy teaching beginners, and I will work with your goals, whether it's an introduction to yoga, working on posture breakdown, building tight muscles, or a runner/bicyclist looking to work on hip or shoulder openers. I also work as a surgical technologist in an orthopedic and sports medicine surgery center, so I have in-depth knowledge of anatomy and possible injuries.
