Many dance instructors can teach the mechanics of dancing. Many people are satisfied with just knowing the mechanics. To take your dancing to the artist level you need someone that is more than just a dance teacher. I have found such a person—Aleks. He has not only taken my dancing to a higher level but he has helped me redefine my purpose in dancing. When I first met Aleks, I knew that he was a rare find. I also knew that his knowledge, experience, and skills would provide me with a solid foundation for ballroom dancing. Within a short period of time of taking private lessons with Aleks, I was able to see my progress and my potential as a dancer. I am excited and honored to be competing with Aleks! I am very proud to be his student. Thank you Aleks for the confidence and for my growth on the dance floor that you have bestowed upon me!

Brittni is an exceptional dance instructor. She is great to work with. She took my non salsa dancing boyfriend and created a monster. He now has the confidence to dance anywhere we go. I knew the basics of salsa dancing and she helped me improve my moves. She has the patience to guide every step of the way. I highly recommend Brittni. We will definitely be calling on her again!

My husband and I have been taking ballroom dance lessons off and on for about 25 years. In that time, we’ve had many teachers. We’ve enjoyed something about all those experiences. But, Anna is the whole package! She’s a beautiful dancer, she’s an excellent teacher, she is patient, creative, and very professional. One of the things we really appreciate about her is how flexible and spontaneous she can be. Sometimes I come in with an idea of something I want to work on, without knowing the name of it or even being able to show her what it looks like. However she always knows what I’m talking about and will figure it out for me. And best of all-we always have a great time with her!

My fiance and I at the time bought a living social dance lessons package at an awesome price that helped kick start our dance lessons. Steve (the owner) was fantastic, knowledgeable, and personable. We received individual dance lessons and Steve took us through all the different dances we could possibly do or want to do and from there he listened to our first dance song and we narrowed down what dance we wanted/could do for our wedding dance. After our living social package lessons were up my fiance and I were so impressed and pleased that we ended up buying their Bronze package for 15 additional lessons! These lessons took us more in depth within our first wedding dance (which turned out to be a Viennese Waltz). Each lesson lasted one hour and after each lesson we felt we had learned more and gotten better and more knowledgeable ourselves about dancing. When our wedding came we slam dunked our first dance and still our guests say that was the biggest surprise of our wedding (because we didn't tell anybody we were taking dance lessons) and that they had never seen a better first dance. My husband and I felt at ease after having our dancing lessons and more confident about dancing in general. The instructors really go at your pace and give examples, feedback, and make it fun! I have watched our first wedding dance about 50 times and still smile and feel proud at the end of it. What made this experience even better was how proud, enthusiastic, and excited Steve was about our first dance as well. Now that our wedding is over my husband and I are still going back to dance lessons and are excited to learn other dances and show those off to our friends and family as well. After researching all different dance studios that provide first wedding dance lessons, this was by far the best! I have loved every minute of it and would do it again in a heartbeat!!! I would recommend "Get on the Floor Dance Company" to anyone I talked to!!! After all, they truly did make me feel like Cinderella at my wedding during our first dance! We twirled around and I was on top of the world!!!

I have been taking lessons from Tsha for several years. Tsha is an excellent teacher because she understands movement, and its source. She understands and explains very well how our body moves. She is also excellent at finding why a step, a connection with a partner, a movement is not happening, and pointing out how it can be fixed. Tsha is also very patient with her students, funny, caring and sweet. She always has interesting and new music to use for practice.

I have taken ballroom lessons at this studio for a little over two years and still love every minute of it. My teachers are Slash Sharan and Sergey Smolin, who are both patient, personable, funny, and very knowledgeable! I am also so thankful for them b/c they are understanding of my crazy schedule, financial limitations, and passion for the artistic side of dance. I focus moreso on competitive dancing, and I love the challenge that I still feel with each lesson but at the same time have fun and feel that I continue to grow as a dancer. I am also the most physically fit than ever before. The great thing about this studio is its versatility. Every instructor has the personal and professional skills to help a student be a better performer, social dancer, competitive dancer, etc. There are also many avenues for your dancing; you can just take lessons and have fun with those in and of themselves, perform at a small Friday night practice party or a big stage at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, dance at Practice Night, which simulates a competition scene (this is unique to the studio), compete at a small regional competition or a big national one in Puerto Rico, or prepare a dance for your wedding. I have much respect for the instructors here b/c it is not an easy task to teach someone the intricacies and physics/mechanics of dance, but the teachers make it seem effortless, along with their endless patience. I have known Slash and Sergey for a while, and they are genuine people who are passionate about what they do (teaching others how to dance and also dancing/competing themselves). It is heartwarming to be part of this group of people. My dance tip for anyone who joins the studio is to practice on your own what it is these instructors teach you. The information is so valuable. Most people here take the 40-minute private lessons (although there are group classes, too), and you can move at your own pace. If you work on this beautiful craft, you will find yourself growing more than you ever thought you would, and it makes you feel good about yourself and motivated to be even better than what you were before. It also helps that these instructors are committed to helping you achieve success and to ensure that you feel happy with your dancing. Overall, I am very happy here, and dancing has done wonders for my health. I feel blessed to know these people who have a positive and passionate attitude towards dance and life. I recommend it to anyone!

I've taken lessons with Olga, both private and a group body movement class called "ballroom body", for over a year. She is a great teacher, gifted dancer, and clearly communicates technical details of movement. Her ballroom body class is very creative and fun as well. She has great energy, fun personality, is patient and very warm hearted, and just great to be around. I give very high recommendation!

Learned to dance Cajun style from Louie in late 1990's. Many people who like to Cajun dance learned from Louie. He is patient, fun, personable and able to break down steps easily. Great teacher. I've also seen him teach other styles of dancing with equal talent.

About

We are specialist and you can find our students posting video and sending pictures to us. We truly enjoy what we do and we are so thankful we can support making a living doing what we love.

About

I provide vigorous dance instruction and innovative choreography. I do broadway, burlesque, theatrical, hip-hop and pop concert performances, drawing from my background in theater and dance when I'm teaching my styles. My method is to create concepts for my students with a clear vision of how I want my choreography presented. I believe musicality is very important for dancers to listen to and become the movement to whatever instruments are being played in the song. My goal is to inspire and uplift spirits within my circle of students from the moment they enter my presence.
