C & C sent me 2 servers and 1 bartender for my September backyard wedding for 50 people. They all arrived 20 minutes early, setup promptly, professionally attended to guests of varying ages and ethnicities, and went above and beyond my intricate instructions. I had particular plates and drinkware associated with each food and drink item and the waitstaff matched them up as-asked without the slightest hint of hesitation or complaint. In fact, they all praised my creativity in coming up with such an arrangement. The servers helped carefully assemble hors d'oeuvres purchased from another vendor and plated them creatively for a beautiful presentation. The bartender whipped up two amazing custom his & hers cocktails for our reception based on our vague recipe/preference and liquor on-hand. Our guests raved about the food setup and my uber-observant mother pointed out that she never noticed any slacking-off or inappropriate speech/conduct. Whenever I was doing something in a nearby room, but perhaps undetected, all I heard was work-oriented chatter. When a guest or two needed to be cut-off, the bartender (Cindy, I think) discreetly confirmed with the groom or a wedding party member before professionally executing the decision. She multi-tasked like a champ, simultaneously serving over 50 guests and answering old-people questions without holding up the line. As an added bonus, one of the servers, Angelica, I think, has beautiful penmanship, so when we couldn't print the food labels, she volunteered to write them out. After we saw her work, we commissioned her to write out the details on our commemorative wedding certificate and she happily complied. The lead for the day privately informed us when they had reached the agreed-upon departure time along with what cleanup had already been accomplished and asked us if we'd like them to do anything else. At that time, we decided that we could use their help for an additional hour (past the 5 they were originally hired for) and they enthusiastically agreed. When the bartender did a last-call and heard that I had only had time to consume one drink during the 4-hour reception, she took it upon herself to mix up a batch of my signature cocktail and leave it in a pitcher for me to use during the casual, on-site after-party. I can't think of any other way to describe just how helpful, positive, fast, and professional these three ladies were for the entire duration of the event. I tried to give them a generous tip, but upon reflection, wish I had given them more. I actually live in the city (Chicago) and will most certainly be giving C&C a call for casual and business events in the future. My mother was impressed as well and plans to give you a call for her annual 4th of July barbecue. I can't wait.
I had the absolute blind luck to find the lovely Heather and D'Andre of Feast & Imbibe while looking for alternatives to typical "chicken or beef" caterers for my June 2014 wedding. I had already decided that I wanted to do an upscale cocktail reception in lieu of a seated dinner, and had quotes for over $10,000 for 80 people (and this was from a place that wanted to serve quesadillas and fried food as apps--that's fine, but not for ten grand and not at all what I was looking for). I couldn't see spending money like that on food that was impersonal and trite, and I began to look for a private chef or other alternatives to a standard wedding caterer. I honestly and truly feel lucky to have found Feast & Imbibe, as they allowed me to have everything exactly the way I wanted for an extremely reasonable price. You could really taste the thought, love and care in D'Andre's food--for real. I had some ideas in mind in terms of the feel of the menu, but I have to say that Heather and D'Andre totally blew me away and knocked it out of the park. From our first interaction, Heather was warm and professional and extremely honest about everything. I told her what I wanted and what I could spend, and she and D'Andre were willing to work with me to provide the experience I was looking for (and they ended up putting together a reception that was more than I could have asked for) for the price I wanted (I ended up spending a bit more than I envisioned, but it was purely due to MY changes--never experienced any pressure or felt like I was being pushed into anything). Heather was SO SO helpful; seeing as how I was doing most things myself, she offered herself and her services at any point she could to make things easier on me-- advice for other vendors, her own decorations, etc. AND THE FOOD...OMG D'Andre...keep on doin' what you're doin', becuase it's a month later and my guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. The food was so on point, the service was so thoughtful, and the selection was incredible. I was able to impress and please both my foodie friends and my meat and potatoes family--which is a serious feat itself. Everything about the actual day of my wedding was kind of a mess (weather, venue issues, mix-ups out of anyone's control), but the supreme service, hospitality and care that Heather and D'Andre put into catering my event absolutely made up for everything that went wrong. They were able to circumnavigate last minute issues with no problem or loss of cool, and everything down to the waitstaff and decor/signs for the food were top notch. My husband and I truly felt that they had our best interests at heart and put love into what they did for us, and we are eternally grateful. I could not have asked for more, and I will be recommending their services to anyone who will listen until I am blue in the face. Seriously, people, if you want the utmost in professionalism, care, delicious food, value for the $$--please go with Feast & Imbibe. They are amazing to say the least!! I would never even consider working with another caterer.
I have used Mitch's catering service for both of my son's Eagle Ceremonies this past year and I highly recommend their services and food. I have also recommended them for Blue and Gold dinners and that has been successful too! The food was plentiful, delicious and warm. It was affordable and Scott was instrumental in helping me finalized a menu and the amount of food needed for those expected to be in attendance. They are so easy to work with and will accommodate all of your wishes! Give them a try!
I have been enjoying the delicious food from Danny's On Douglas for going on 25 years now going back to when they were known as Danny's Pizza located in a storefront on McLean Blvd over on Elgin's west side. For a long time now I have been ordering my Pizza with carmelized onions and pepperoni and it's oh so very good! But I truly love cheese-only, well-done and pie-cut. Most recently, my friends and I have ordered their lip-smacking Fried Chicken & BBQ Ribs combo. The French Fries were perfectly crunchy and the Cole Slaw tasted freshly made. The waitstaff and bartenders were attentive and efficient and a lot of fun to be around. They seemed to enjoy their job. I highly recommend Danny's on Douglas! Mr. DJ
Bartender was attentive, professional, and personable...we will use Flairtenders again!
As I stood in the center of giant towers of moving boxes I realized I was going to need a real PRO. My fiance and I had just moved into a much smaller space and I had to figure out how to transform ONE ROOM into a living room, dining area, tool/work area for my fiance and design studio for me... I work from home. I called several places and Bre was the only one who returned my call in a timely manner... great sign! There were several winning things I enjoyed about working with Bre. She had a super positive attitude, was punctual, truly listened, followed with solutions, was ready to put some elbow grease into it. She had useful ideas and tested them to see if they would function. Bre understands space, light, ergonomics, aesthetics... and many more things that transform a great organizer into an AMAZING one. I recommend her to anyone who needs their space to work for them and not the other way around. Treat yourself to the gift that keeps on giving. She saved me a lot of time and frustration. Thank you Bre. You jump-started me into a space I enjoy walking into.
Wow!! I had them cater my sons graduation. Fresh, homemade, and great service.
