I hired Mark to paint the front of my house, replace a screen on a screened-in porch and replace the doors on my shed. He did a great job. Don't be scared away by his hourly rate - he charged a fair price.
Hunter Home Solutions was an affordable, quick, and friendly service. I called and spoke with Dee who assured me sheâd take care of all of my needs. I was looking to get rid of an old recliner and some junk that had accumulated in my garage over the past few years. I was impressed that she was able to come out the next day to check out (and remove!) my pile o' junk. She and one helper showed up on time and loaded all of my junkâ¦the pile in the garage was about 8 feet wide by 10 feet high and included 3 old TVâs, a worthless snow blower, a kitchen table and some other miscellaneous odds and ends! The old recliner had to come down from the second floor and she and her helper had no problem maneuvering it down the steps and out the door. The entire experience couldn't have been a more perfect. I guarantee that I will be calling Dee again when I need her services.
Excellent job of repair/replacing front door lock!
Franklin put tile on our kitchen floor and trim. He did a very good job, highly recommend! He can do many things so we will definitely hire him again for door replacement and other projects. He works fast, not like the previous guy we hired. He is a very nice and honest guy, very reliable and easy to work with. He was always on time.
James has done work for me for over 20 years. He has done everything from plumbing to carpet replacement, roof to deck work, and everything in between. When I have a problem around the house I call James 1st. He's also done work for my parents, including both bathrooms (one with marble flooring), he did their roof and door replacement among other things, never had a problem, if anything does come up, he's there right away to make it right. My parents have passed James phone number on to friends of theirs. We give him the keys to our house when he's working so he can come and go as necessary, James is very trustworthy and does excellent work.
My husband and I hired Brian to help with a few projects around our house. He helped with everything we requested and was extremely knowledgeable about the wide range of requests we had (door installation, trim work, electrical, etc.). He was quick and thorough. As new homeowners we are grateful that we found Brian. I know we will use him again and I have already sung his praises to my friends.
They did an excellent job on putting in a brick patio, putting no new siding, a new roof, new windows and new doors. I would hightly recomend them anytime for most any job. The next time I need a contractor, the A-Team will get a call!
When Storm Guard appeared at my door asking to do a free roof inspection my gut reaction was to say no thanks and close the door. I then rethought this because I knew my roof was pretty old and in need of replacement within the next few years. I thought it couldn't hurt to have someone up there to see how bad of shape its in. After they inspected the roof they came down with pictures of visible hail damage. Nothing too severe but enough that they thought it was worth calling the insurance company. The insurance adjuster came out and also found wind damage. Given the age of the roof the insurance company was on the fence but in the end they covered the entire roof in full. Insurance only covers a like roof. I had the cheap 3-Tab before. So I could have replaced it for nothing if I stuck with the 3-Tab. Storm Guard had a good selection of roof options to choose from and it wasn't much to upgrade to the top of the line, asphalt, two tone, architectural shingle. They came out and got the job done in a day. The new roof looks amazing. I looked it over as much as I could and could not find a flaw with it. The only issue during the install was one of the gutters got a small ding in it during removal. I mentioned this and they came out and fixed it up right away. Even though you can't tell now, he said if I wasn't happy with it that they would replace the gutter. Storm Guard did an excellent job, were easy to work with, and I would easily recommend them to anyone else.
Pete did a great job installing our patio door. It looks great and he cleaned up after himself very well also.
Finding a good handyman needn't be difficult--just call Craig. He completed quite a variety of work to help me prepare my house for sale, including installing water barrels and new downspouts, removing a satellite and repairing roof, installing fans and light fixtures, hanging a medicine cabinet, grouting, concrete patching, and hanging a new storm door, among other projects. Craig did excellent work, and it is clear that he is a very skilled, trustworthy, and fair handyman. I recommend him so highly--I wish I had found him years earlier.
The Paint Patrol was great, I asked for my outside doors and jams to be painted did such a good job I had him do 2 bedrooms as well and I will have him do all my painting need in the future!!!!!!!! He was so nice to work with.
After four interviews with builders, Jeff and P.R.I.D.E. was selected to build a deck at my rental property. He was the first to respond, his quote was reasonable, and I was impressed with not only his knowledge but his attentiveness to my suggestions and concerns. The workmanship of the deck is precise and of the highest quality imaginable, going beyond initial expectations. He even repaired a shed with faulty construction done by another builder. The second job is a complete remodel of a garage door entrance; again with expert dedication and workmanship. Thank you Thumbtack for your great service and for this referral and thank you P.R.I.D.E for your excellent work. I have other projects and won't have to think twice about who to hire.
Rick came yesterday and looked at my door. He quoted prices for different options, went to a store and bought the door, and installed it the same day.
This was a design-build project. Ray Habenicht, owner of Habenicht Homes, started with a big empty attic. First, Ray insulated it carefully then framed in the bedroom, closet, and corner storage areas. Then he hung dry-wall and finished the rooms, which had a multitude of difficult, yet charming attic angles. The finished product is delightful and aesthetically pleasing. At this point they primed and painted walls and ceilings. Ray built a tray ceiling with molding and inset lights where a ceiling fan will hang. He built doors to match our 1905 Colonial four-square farmhouse, including smaller versions for the bedroom corner storage areas and one to fit the attic bedroom closet. He trimmed out all the windows and doors, again to match the rest of the home, then added bead board and trim to the walls of the great room area. He built bead board-trimmed doors into the corner storage areas that almost disappear into the rest of the bead board/trim. I say almost, but hasten to say that I'm glad they are a little noticeable, they are so very pleasant. He built-in a special reading nook, with the bookcase modeled after a painting by Swedish painter, Carl Larsen. The south end of the great room includes two built-in desks with drawers (for our homeschooling children to share), two clever bookcases with cubby holes below for baskets, and a large beautiful window seat that opens for storage. Ray was good at re-purposing left-over materials to cut costs. For instance, he suggested using the (beautiful) flooring to top the window-seat and cap off the half-walls. He built-in another desk for a home office as well as a DVD-player cabinet with storage into the half-wall . Ray transformed an unfinished attic into a show-room piece with many personal touches. The craftmanship is amazing. Ray is more than a carpenter, he is a designer, and, really, an artist. Taking our dreams and making them reality. Truly, our attic is not only functional and efficient, it has our personality written all over it. As people come upstairs for the first time they take a deep breath and breathe out, "Wow!"
Zach worked closely with us to establish a renovation schedule that fit with our family. He communicated any conditions he encountered and brought solutions to us that made sense. He took his time which resulted in a high quality outcome. We love our upgraded bathroom! and the stone kitchen backsplash looks great!
I needed 4 doors hung in a basement reno I am completing on my own and I wanted them done correctly. Phil Connors was on time, communicative and did a good job hanging 4 pre-hung doors in the janky framing I put up. I will be bringing him back to do some custom shelf construction for a sit on top sink in a bathroom. He prefers not use telephone communication; he texts or emails, however, he responds to email quickly, within 24 hours. I would recommend Phil for your next carpentry project
Hired KMZ to install 22 windows. Mike does an excellent job. I recommended him to a friend, who used them too. I also plan to have them replace windows in my rental properties.
JJ recently installed a storm door on our home. He did a great job: he was responsive, his fees were fair and he did quality work in a timely manner. Would definitely work with him again!
Josh did all that was required on my quote. He also adjusted my storm door.
I am very pleased with the projects John has done for me. I wanted plate rails--one over the sliding glass door and one over the kitchen window--plus a storage closet. He was willing to exchange ideas with me to achieve what I wanted. He went the extra mile by doing some painting at his home so as not to bother my daughter's allergies. Also hung some pictures that were too heavy for me to handle.
