I hired Brian to replace the old, ugly ceiling tiles in my bathroom with drywall. Before he got started, he took the time to help me determine if a water spot on the old tiles was caused by a leak in my attic. Then, he did the tear off and carefully removed the trim, which I was able to use later for the new ceiling. He installed and taped the new drywall beautifully. My new ceiling is smooth and even, no seams are showing. I'm very pleased with his work. Brian is easy to work with, considerate and his price quote worked with my tight budget.
Jason did a great job installing our new kitchen floor. I will definitely be hiring them in the future.
Excellence, in all phases and aspects of the project, is the approach and standard that the A-Team exhibited from the outset, and consistently maintained, from evaluation through project completion, and follow up. Evaluation, Project Planning and Ongoing Communication We called A team (after unsuccessful attempts with two other companies) to address a roof leak on the attached porch, due to lack of flashing, when the porch was added on to the house. (One company told us this could not be fixed without replacing the entire siding with vinyl). A Team very promptly scheduled Chad to evaluate the issue. He was prompt, thorough, communicative, practical and very competent in analyzing that issue. He also noted some other areas of the roof needing work. But, he also suggested that before deciding on any of the work, we contact our insurance adjuster to assess some apparent hail damage (from last years' storm). We did. That resulted (the same day) in approval of an entire replacement of the roof, gutters and downspouts. Chad returned, at our request, to be present for the insurance adjuster's inspection, and met with us and the adjuster to discuss options and plans for the project. He was very helpful and constructive in that discussion too. The detailed work plan was approved and the insurance deposit check was issued at the end of that meeting. Soon after, Chad met with us to help pick out the new shingle and gutter/downspout colors, and start the scheduling. Scheduling and Project Completion The A Team office staff (and Chad) were in frequent touch with us as to the start date (which ended up being moved up, not delayed). As promised, the entire roof was completed in a single day, despite the extra time needed to deal with not only the siding/flashing issue on the porch roof, but also further complications that came up relating to the porch roof decking and underside decorative celling. Aaron (who personally supervised the overall job and did the detailed custom work on the porch) met with us to discuss options and costs to address that issue. He came up with a lasting and economical approach that maintained the decorative porch ceiling. The A team roofers worked efficiently, and neatly, avoiding damage to shrubs and plants, minimizing clutter and doing a great job on clean up. The gutters and downspouts were similarly completed the next day. Finally, the A Team is assisting in a detailed explanation and documentation (requested by our insurance adjuster) of the above described added work and materials, that may bring a substantial portion of these additional costs within insurance coverage. Even it does not, it is clear to us that Aaron came up with a cost effective correction of a problem that could be discovered only in the process of the re-roofing. Conclusion A team Construction is animated by its commitment to excellence, in every single aspect and dimension its work. Not only would I use them again - I plan to, for a poured/stamped concrete patio project, next year
GDC came in and finished dry walling the ceiling in my basement as well as finishing the sanding of the walls in another area of the basement. They did a good job with the overall project. They were easy to get a hold of and cooperative on all needs. The guy that did the work was very friendly.
They repaired 2 bathroom floors for us. It was a very quick turn around. The first bathroom was replaced in less than 1 day and the second was more involved but they still had it done in 2 days. Very professional, honest, and upfront. They left the job site very clean and above our expectations. I have been telling others to contact them with jobs and we will definitely use them again!
Finding a good handyman needn't be difficult--just call Craig. He completed quite a variety of work to help me prepare my house for sale, including installing water barrels and new downspouts, removing a satellite and repairing roof, installing fans and light fixtures, hanging a medicine cabinet, grouting, concrete patching, and hanging a new storm door, among other projects. Craig did excellent work, and it is clear that he is a very skilled, trustworthy, and fair handyman. I recommend him so highly--I wish I had found him years earlier.
He did a great job with our door. We bought a slab door, the measurements weren't quite right, so it wouldn't close. Rick was able to solve the problem. He was really flexible with the time to meet and he was fair with the price. I would like to hire him again for other jobs.
This was a design-build project. Ray Habenicht, owner of Habenicht Homes, started with a big empty attic. First, Ray insulated it carefully then framed in the bedroom, closet, and corner storage areas. Then he hung dry-wall and finished the rooms, which had a multitude of difficult, yet charming attic angles. The finished product is delightful and aesthetically pleasing. At this point they primed and painted walls and ceilings. Ray built a tray ceiling with molding and inset lights where a ceiling fan will hang. He built doors to match our 1905 Colonial four-square farmhouse, including smaller versions for the bedroom corner storage areas and one to fit the attic bedroom closet. He trimmed out all the windows and doors, again to match the rest of the home, then added bead board and trim to the walls of the great room area. He built bead board-trimmed doors into the corner storage areas that almost disappear into the rest of the bead board/trim. I say almost, but hasten to say that I'm glad they are a little noticeable, they are so very pleasant. He built-in a special reading nook, with the bookcase modeled after a painting by Swedish painter, Carl Larsen. The south end of the great room includes two built-in desks with drawers (for our homeschooling children to share), two clever bookcases with cubby holes below for baskets, and a large beautiful window seat that opens for storage. Ray was good at re-purposing left-over materials to cut costs. For instance, he suggested using the (beautiful) flooring to top the window-seat and cap off the half-walls. He built-in another desk for a home office as well as a DVD-player cabinet with storage into the half-wall . Ray transformed an unfinished attic into a show-room piece with many personal touches. The craftmanship is amazing. Ray is more than a carpenter, he is a designer, and, really, an artist. Taking our dreams and making them reality. Truly, our attic is not only functional and efficient, it has our personality written all over it. As people come upstairs for the first time they take a deep breath and breathe out, "Wow!"
I needed 4 doors hung in a basement reno I am completing on my own and I wanted them done correctly. Phil Connors was on time, communicative and did a good job hanging 4 pre-hung doors in the janky framing I put up. I will be bringing him back to do some custom shelf construction for a sit on top sink in a bathroom. He prefers not use telephone communication; he texts or emails, however, he responds to email quickly, within 24 hours. I would recommend Phil for your next carpentry project
John has done a multitude of construction and repair tasks for us. He can put on a new roof, build and/or repair fences, install drywall, paint, and make repairs large and small. He is punctual, gets jobs done quickly, cleans the area and charges for his work are fair. His work is meticulous and he takes pride in his work. Highly recommended!
I have used Accurate Custom Creations' services for the last three years and have known Chad Corfits for eight years. My first project they installed new windows and new insulation and siding on the house. They provided such great customer service and quality of work that I hired them to repaint my four bedrooms, bath, office and kitchen. They were meticulous in the painting taking very good care of my woodwork. They also remodeled my bath installing a new vanity, toilet, ceramic tile floor, paint and medicine cabinet. I absolutely love it. I also used them to finish some home energy audit findings in my attic including flashing, insulation and sill sealing in the basement. They provided a very detailed and accurate estimate, issued change orders when we found new things to deal with in the siding of the house and always corrected any issues I found - in fact - Chad usually found the issues and fixed it himself. He takes great pride in his work and it shows. I would highly recommend Accurate Custom Creations Services to anyone.
Burchard welding has done several jobs for my family - I love the new safety railing for the entrance stairs at my parents house. Would recommend him first to anyone looking for quality work DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!
I had two fence installers quote a new backyard fence for me and after I picked my jaw off of the ground I contacted Matt from A Cut Above. Matt is a very experience carpenter and did a wonderful job with my new fence at a better price than the fence companies. I will definitely call Matt again for anymore carpentry work I will need.
We hired Aaron to build some custom metal table bases for our company this past winter. We had three different prototype designs, and we relied on Aaron's expertise to not only fabricate the bases but also tweak the designs as he saw fit. The results were perfect. On time, great quality, very well done. Having a go-to metal fabricator of Aaron's caliber opens a whole new range of design possibilities for us. I highly recommend him.
I have gone through a lot of trouble getting consultations, ranging from Home Depot to the Ganser Company, to have my unfinished bathroom constructed from the concrete basement floor to the ceiling joists. The estimates I received were all over the place and I felt hesitant with those companies due to their salesmen pitches and inflated prices. I was referred to Mike, had him come out to my house to get an idea of what I was looking for, and asked him for an estimate. The first thing I noticed while talking to him was, he wasnt giving me a sales pitch. From the cabinetry to the tile, your project can get pricy quickly. Mike gave me ideas of what would give me the most bang-for-my buck. Mike took notes for what I was looking for, went home and created a CAD drawing with some ideas he had. I started making selections and he gave me an estimate. When my wife and I received it, we could not believe how much more affordable it was. We gave him the thumbs up to start work. Throughout the process, Mike surprised me with each step. The tile work is detailed and beautiful. Mike did the plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, cabinetry, trim, shower install, etc. Whenever he wasnt 100% satisfied with the way something came together, he would redo it until it was outstanding. For example, he received my shower glass in and found some imperfections (a couple scratches and a chip). He thought he could hide those small imperfections with the shower hinges but there was still a little showing. He took the glass back to the dealer and had it replaced. I consider myself a perfectionist; his quality of work and detail surpassed my expectations. I cannot say enough good things about Mike and his company. I have already found several other large-scale projects I will be calling him back for.
