Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: $50/session in home. $65/session at Studio Melt. Unlike a typical personal trainer, I'm certified in Medical Exercise, Orthopedic Exercise, Health & Weight Loss and Nutrition. While I work with all people of all fitness levels, I'm qualified to work with clients who have ongoing health issues like hypertension and osteoporosis and I specialize in orthopedic issues: bad backs, shoulders, knees etc. And I'm also able to work with you on nutrition, weight loss or gain and behavior change. If you're looking for a non-bootcamp drill sergeant, not 20 years old and someone with skills and empathy, not just "burpees all day" trainer, that's me. I love working with people who never thought they could afford a personal trainer and who feel better having someone who can work with them either at a small studio or at their own homes rather than a mega-gym.

Jo is an extremely knowledgeable and personable trainer who understands the needs of her clients. She listens intently to what's going on with me and helps isolate the areas I need. There is no one size fits all with Jo. My needs are very different in my 40's then they were 10 and 20 years ago and she helps me focus on those changing needs. I can ask her anything and she always has valuable insight. I never lifted weights or done strength training before and Jo has taught me how (without me feeling embarrassed!). I have been training with Jo for 2 years and am so thankful I found the perfect trainer for me. She is flexible and dependable. I highly recommend Jo for anyone looking to start or continue their fitness plan.

Excellent, common-sense fitness that gets results. Jo is really smart about what works. She's adapted exercises to my needs so that I get a workout but don't get hurt in the process.

I'm a 76 year old semi-retired physician and professor. I've been training with Jo Chern twice a week for three years, focusing on strength and balance. I'm sure it has contributed significantly to my staying healthy and active. I told her my initial goal was "to not kill myself with my chain saw"....so far we have accomplished this together. I bet she can help you with your fitness goals as well

I've been a personal training client with Jo for over two years (usually doing co-sessions with a friend) and always really look forward to the sessions (on average once a week). She has helped me recover from back and hip injuries successfully and I trust her expertise in rehab protocols completely. For the regular training sessions, she always knows just how much to push without making the whole experience unpleasant! In fact the sessions are lots of fun and filled with good humor. I've recently started attending Qi Gong at her suggestion and love that as well. I highly recommend her.

Jo started working with me and developed a plan based on what I could do now. We just met for the first time and I think that I will make steady improvement. My injury happened in December with no improvement for 5 months. I have hope!
