Mike did a fantastic job introducing our son to the piano, doing so in a way that makes learning/playing both fun and challenging. He uses a great mix of popular and traditional music, and tailors the lessons to our son's musical tastes, which is amazing. The additional stuff - recitals, assembling a band in which our son played - added another dimension to the learning process, and our son has blossomed musically as a result. When Mike moved from NYC we continued with video lessons, which have worked out well.Apr 24, 2014
MIKE is an amazing piano teacher! He was able to work with my 2 very different daughters. He is serious but allows fun to mix in too! He challenges the kids at their age level.Wish he didn't move away from us!Apr 22, 2014

Mike did a wonderful job of introducing our 7 year old to the piano. His system of goals and rewards motivated her to practice regularly, and we were impressed with his ability to keep the lessons fun while maintaining her focus. She was able to develop basic skills and technique quickly, and enjoyed the challenges presented by each week's assignment. Most importantly, his methods gave her comfort and confidence with the instrument, and a solid foundation for appreciating and making music as she grows.Apr 7, 2014
Mike had been my girl's piano teacher for the past 3 1/2 years. He took them on without any prior instruction and turned them into beautiful pianists! He is patient, kind, knowledgeable and extremely talented. We miss him very much!Mar 31, 2014
