What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First the client contacts me about availability and maybe to clarify some questions about my services. When they come in for their appointment they are required to fill out a "Permission To Treat" form, and then we go over why they came to see. This helps me to help them decide what kind of service that I do would best fit their needs, based on what is going on with them physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Then I perform the service/s and afterwards we talk about their experience during the service and what guidance I may have received for them during the service, or where they were taking in the most energy or the least, where there were blockages and releases, etc.
After that we discuss further treatment options.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continually learning more and more ways to use Reiki as well as taking classes in other healing modalities that compliment Reiki like Crystal Healing and Healing Touch. I am certified to Level One in Crystal Healing in two lineages and have taken extensive training in other forms of Crystal Healing to further my skills. I am also a Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher and offer Karuna Reiki® classes in addition to Usu Reiki classes. am also a Level I Healing Touch student (you do not become a practitioner in this modality for years and there are 5 levels). I believe one should never stop learning - there is so much to learn and I find it all exciting and fascinating! I recently became an Emotion Code Practitioner as well.
Additionally, I am an Intuitive Life/Career Coach and Grief Coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.

I offer "by donation only" Reiki sessions, one week out of every month (the last week of the month) as my way of giving back to the community, and work on a sliding scale for those who need it.
Reiki sessions can also be bought in blocks - 3-5 sessions also at incremental discounts.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I believe you are called to do this kind of work. For me it was a natural progression from T'ai Chi instructor to Reiki Practitioner. Both utilize energy, some say the same kind of energy (universal life force energy). My journey as a healer began when my T'ai Chi instructor told me I was "doing healing work" when I took over her T'ai chi
classes when she retired. T'ai chi is a form of ancient Chinese medicine, as is Qigong and Acupuncture. This got me thinking about the fact that I was in essence a healer and then Reiki just sort of popped out at me. Someone in my T'ai chi class was Reiki and gave me a session. I just had a "knowing" that I had to learn it, and after I took several classes, had that same knowing (need to teach it), just like the knowing I had with wanting to teach T'ai Chi. T'ai Chi helped me to recover my health and sanity after a long protracted illness that nothing and no one couldn't fix.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My main focus two fold - performing Reiki /Crystal Healing/Healing Touch sessions for my clients, some of which choose tot take classes and become Reiki as a way to empower themselves and take their healing into their own hands.
Teaching Reiki classes is the other part of my focus. I connect others to the Divine Life Force Energy that is Reiki so that they can channel it for themselves and others for the benefit of all.
It is not unusual for a Reiki session with me to last for two, three, even four hours (you are only charged for the time you have scheduled, i.e. if you scheduled a one hour session or a 90 minute session, you are are charged for that length of time). This is unusual and particular to me. As I mentioned earlier, people just open up to me and we can spend a lot of time in just "talking". Very healing.
I was taught by both my Reiki Master Teachers that a Reiki session includes treating both the front and the back of the body. Most Reiki practitioners who work on the public do not do this, they only treat the front of the body, and only spend an hour in a session.
I treat the back of the body because countless times my clients have had trapped negative emotion block releases in the back of the body, and so many people have issues with their back - back pain, or kidney issues, adrenal burn out, etc.
I also spend a lot of time just talking with my clients. People just naturally open up to me and talk. I am a good listener and have good, sound information that can help them because I have experienced so much in my own life in the way of illnesses (both physical and emotional) and trauma.
So many people just need someone to listen to their story. It is said to be very very healing to just be able to tell your story to a third party, someone who has no involvement with your family or the other people in your life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Call and talk to any practitioner.you are interested in seeing first. I highly advise you to make an appointment to meet them and see if you feel you that they are a good match. Not everyone is going to be a good fit for you, their belief systems and philosophies may defer greatly from yours.
If they have testimonials, read them. Have other people seen them and made comments about how much their work helped them? Look over their websites carefully. How long have they been in practice and how much other training do they have? Also find out if they do any community service, or if they are willing to work with peoples financial situations such as offering sliding scale fees (I do).
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That it is just as relaxing and stress reducing as getting a massage, if not more so. More than not, my clients fall into a very deep sleep while receiving Reiki which we call "Reiki Slumber". We know that deeper healing takes place when our client can allow themselves to go deep like this as it activates your bodies own natural ability to heal - you have a natural healing process in your body that can only be activated when you are at rest (completely calm, relaxed and at rest). Reiki gives you the opportunity to rest so that your natural healing process can kick in and enhances it. It also gets your ego out of way. Some people have even told me it's better than a massage because it doesn't hurt!
One of the main benefits of Reiki is it's stress reducing abilities but it also brings the body, mind and energy field into balance, and opens, clears and balance all the chakras.
There is nothing "woo woo" about this work. It is very calming, and soothing and can relieve pain, help you sleep better and so much more.
