I've been taking guitar lessons from Ken for 3 weeks now. I had tried to learn on my own for several years and never got anywhere. This is why I decided to find an instructor using this service. Before I even met Ken he tought me some things I wasn't aware of - not finding it in any videos or written materials online. I think a lot of people that play instruments forget what it is to learn it. Ken has helped with this, I was pressing on the strings too hard and in the wrong areas. He helped with holding the guitar correctly, tuning it, and more. In three weeks I can play 6 chords already, and made more progress than what I did on my own over 3 years. So far, so good!
Ben has a great system for teaching beginners guitar! Each lesson builds on the previous, and the goals are very clear. I have learned so much more taking lessons with Ben, than I did taking online skype lessons with a different teacher. The exercises and songs he gives me, keep me motivated to practice and I've noticed that I've improved a lot!
Guy has been teaching our 9 year old son electric bass for about six months now. While attending weekly lessons he has quickly learned the fundamentals and many bass lines in his instrument. Guy is patient and his methodology is very effective for our child.
Mike is very knowledgeable and great at putting the information into a context that you can understand. He clearly has a knack for teaching guitar. I'm taking advanced lessons and feel like I already learned a lot just in our 1hr consultation. I'm looking forward to continue working with him and definitely suggest him to anyone looking to learn guitar. Having lessons in a studio is also a big bonus!
Lena taught my daughter guitar lessons for a little over years. She was great! Very patient and excellent teacher. She always made the lessons enjoyable. Would highly recommend Lena to anyone looking to learn or further their guitar skills.
He taught very fluidly and paid close attention to make sure I understood what he was saying. He definitely takes his teaching seriously and I look forward to more lessons.
Paul Tadder is a compassionate and knowledgeable teacher in the way that he connects with the individual as much as the music in lessons that feel as though they are tailored to the student. Though he is well versed in many styles of playing and many genres of music he is able to meet a person at the level they are at to meet their goals musically and in technique with ample support and encouragement. Highly recommended for the beginner all the way to the seasoned professional.
I enjoyed practicing with Tim. I only lived in the area for a short time, but he was helpful. I think anyone would benefit from his lessons.
Jon is a very talented young man who has the skill and knowledge to teach all aspects of Guitar from Beginner through experienced.
I have been a guitar student at Mike's Music Studio for five years, and my experience here has been incredible. As a guitar student here, I feel that I am always able to learn at a comfortable pace, and Mike does a fantastic job of helping me learn the music that I am interested in. Mike is an extremely helpful, patient, and kind teacher, and I always feel that I am truly valued as a student. During my time at Mike's, I have not only enjoyed learning how to play guitar, but my playing ability has improved immensely, and I am sure that anyone who starts taking lessons at Mike's will have a similar experience.
Jimmy does a really good job of teaching me what it is that I want to learn and get out of playing guitar. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented which gives him the instant credibility but also teaches in a very relaxed manner that makes learning fun and enjoyable. He's already helped me improve my technique and learn songs that have stood in my way for many years. Jimmy is very flexible to work with as far as scheduling goes and will come to your home to do lessons. It takes all hassle out of guitar lessons and eliminates any excuse not to improve. I highly recommend lessons with Jimmy.
I teach guitar, not just songs. Yes, songs are the finished product, but there is a difference between knowing how to play a few songs, and knowing how to play guitar. The difference is in not only knowing what you are playing, but why. No, you're audience probably won't care if you know the names of the notes and chords you play, or even what key you're playing in. You play the songs for them, but knowing music and music theory is for yourself. So, if you just want to learn how to play some songs, there are some great websites that can give you all you need to know. Save your money and use them. However, give me a call because you're ready to learn guitar, not just songs.
Have had one lesson so far and really like Larry
With over 18 years of accomplishment in music, Jordan combines his intuitive nature with his analytical mind to provide lessons that cater to those seeking ear training, mathematical application, precision, and presence in voice, guitar, and song-writing. Music has been his primary passion in life and he brings that passion to each lesson he teaches.
I'm Zach. I've been playing for about 9 years, and I'm at the point where I'm starting to teach others, and it's exciting! We can go over anything you'd like (guitar tone, beginner, intermediate and advanced techniques, chords, scales, modal scales etc.) or we can stick to a basic, from-top-to-bottom lesson plan.
I have been teaching guitar for nearly a decade. I am proficient in music theory, music history, music recording, teaching and the performance of a dozen different instruments.
I have an unending passion for music, and work as hard as I can at it. I try to put my values into my music as well.
Private music or production/engineering instruction is offered by instructor who has been trained by Grammy winners!
Have you ever tried guitar lessons and wondered why it was so difficult to learn? Ninety-nine percent of all guitar teachers start with standard EADGBE tuning. My method makes it much easier to play instantly using DADGAD tuning. This tuning is easier because it uses two finders instead of three and four for most chords. Plus, it sounds better. I don't show how to learn cover songs. Anyone can get tab on the Internet. What I teach is a way to write and sing songs. I offer easy-way lessons at $10.00 per hour.
Throughout the decade I've played guitar, I've learned that one of my passions is teaching others to play as well. I'd love to meet you and to get you started on your way toward guitar proficiency!
