Amy did our weeding and we couldn't have been more pleased. Since we planned our wedding in less than 2 months I showed her picture of what I liked and told her to just run with it. She nailed it! We loved everything. Her attention to detail is outstanding. I would recommend her to everyone!

Donna and the Frankie’s team provided an exceptional meal for my parent’s 50th Anniversary party. She even honored a special request entree and provided numerous “extras” without charge. She exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for quality food, exceptional service and reasonable prices.

Heather was fantastic. She was on top of everything and managed my list and questions throughout the day! Even if you have an awesome venue and great vendors, you still need someone to manage all of those little/forgotten tasks. She helped me in the weeks leading up and the day of. She really takes the worry out of the day so you can fully enjoy it!!

Robert & his Team at FINAO Wedding Design & Event professionals made us feel like we were more than a client, but as best friends. They really listened to our wants and needs for both the wedding ceremony and reception. The theatrical entertainment they pulled off at the reception is still a magical wonder, but either way our guests of 325 were in awe! I am always telling my coworkers and friends to hire FINAO for any event! They have connections that you can't look up online or in the yellow pages. They have partnered with the most amazing DJ who makes his own art. My now husband and I could not agree on a song for our first dance so FINAO's DJ seamlessly mixed the two together without skipping a note/beat. We decided to order an Ice Sculpture for our reception and WOW! With all that said Robert kept inside our budget and made sure we were involved throughout the entire planning. INCREDIBLE!

Kristin and her assistant set up my wedding table decorations, and came back later to break down the tables and clean up the venue (we rented a state park building, so no staff.) Kristin was timely, polite, enthusiastic about helping to make our wedding a success, and she did a fantastic job. I would recommend her to anyone who's looking for help with their wedding!!

I was nervous about hiring Rustic Chic because they didn't have as much experience as other places. But I don't regret my choice. They went above and beyond and I was treated like a close friend instead of just another client. If you need help with a sweet, romantic wedding...Rustic Chic is the company to hire.

Pure stems provided the flowers for my daughter's wedding. The event was outdoors and casual. Christine gathered vintage vases and pots and created arrangements that were both understated and gorgeous. She has an eye for the unique and makes it all look easy and unfussy. Everyone commented on how beautiful the arrangements were.

Love, Rachel specializes in event planning and wedding coordination. Your wedding is one of, if not, the most important day of your life. We provide packages based on your needs regarding your wedding day. We offer packages for full-service wedding day planning, which includes creating a wedding timeline, detailing with vendors, managing wedding costs, etc. Other services include partial-service planning, day-of wedding coordination, or if you are just looking for someone to bounce ideas off, we do that too! We tailor packages for each couple and strive to provide the very best service while doing so. The goal at Love, Rachel is to eliminate any and all stress from the bride and groom. We want you to remember how beautiful and fun your wedding day is, and not how the caterer was late or when the DJ pronounced your new last name wrong (which actually happened at a wedding I attended). As Love, Rachel begins to evolve, our vision for the future is to become the leader in wedding event coordination and also continue to produce events, such as corporate events, birthdays, fund-raisers, engagement parties, trade shows and so much more! For any event you can dream of, we hope that you will think of Love, Rachel with confidence to successfully coordinate and manage your event. Love, Rachel

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much does it cost for a wedding planner?

Wedding planning is a full-time job — unless you hire a professional to handle the hard work for you. The cost for a wedding planner will depend on the level of service you desire. The least expensive wedding planner option is day-of coordination, then partial service, then full-service.

The national average cost for wedding planning is between $990 and $1,300. Costs are greatly affected by region, with rural or smaller-town wedding planners often far more affordable than planners in higher-cost cities. Here are some examples of the various levels of wedding planning and their potential average costs:

  • Day-of-wedding coordination: $800-$1,700. Day-of services can include the planner finalizing all details, creating a timeline, confirming vendors and overseeing all setup, day-of activities, and cleanup. The couple does all the front-end planning and contracts all the vendors. Time commitment could be about 15-25 hours, depending on pricing.
  • Partial service: $1,500-$3,800. Here the planner works with the couple from the beginning, helping contract vendors, creating a timeline, and overseeing all details of day-of execution. Time commitment could be about 30-60 hours, depending on package and pricing.
  • Full service: $3,500-$8,000 or more. Here the professional handles all wedding and planning details including working on design, securing rentals, getting the venue and vendors, and handling complete execution of the event. Time commitment could be 50-150 hours or more, depending on package and pricing.
  • Consulting: $50-$150 per hour for design, vendor, reception and other wedding planning consultation.
