Kurt is very knowledgeable and he hears what you have to say and genuinely cares about you and your future. Once I set up my account, I was expecting to not hear from him until I retired like my previous advisor. But not with Kurt…he follows up with you and continues to review your accounts with you. He asks questions about your job benefits snd makes suggestions on insurance too. As I said before, he really wants you to have a financially secure future.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My team and I offer a complimentary initial phone consultation with all prospective clients. We are compensated in several ways for giving advice to clients: 1. By insurance companies through a commission for implementing insurance products that address defensive gaps in client's planning such as long-term care, disability and life insurance. 2. By broker dealers for implementing and managing investment accounts we provide advice on (IRAs, Roth IRAs, SEP IRAs, Non Tax Qualified Accounts, 529 Accounts, etc) 3. Fee-based financial planning engagement if we decide there is enough complexity where a fee-based plan is appropriate. Depending on the complexity a fee-based plan is typically $1000-$3000. NOTE: for most active clients that implement insurance and/or investments with us we DO NOT charge for a financial plan and offer the financial planning as a complimentary service but are happy to build a fee based plan together in a fiduciary capacity.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Our process is very customer centric, we construct tailored plans that are thoughtful and comprehensive. Each relationship begins with a conversation about you and your family. In this initial step, we seek to understand your goals, what and who matters to you the most. We also spend some time talking about your vision for the future. During this complimentary consultation we gather all the relevant data, establish objectives and assess time horizons and attitude towards risk. The next step involves our team taking the data and creating a personal plan that provides you with a roadmap to accomplish each goal in a cost and tax efficient manner. In this step of the process we develop asset allocation models, design investment portfolios and create risk mitigation strategies to address any gaps in the analysis. Phase 3 is the Implementation of these strategies and the next step in the process. Here we determine a timeline for meeting each financial goal and executing on the relevant strategies to accomplishing such goal. We also coordinate with estate planning attorneys, accountants and other professionals as necessary to get the goals completed in a timely manner. The last step in our process, is Review and Monitor. Based on the complexity of the relationship and the clients preference, we establish an appropriate review schedule, where we may recommend adjustments to the plan and investment portfolio as needed. Each plan is also supported by periodic risk review and rebalancing. We understand that life changes so we are available to have ad hoc meetings as life events occur. Our comprehensive planning is supported by reporting capabilities that helps to keep your entire financial life organized through a highly secure portal. This portal also supports and consolidate accounts even if they are not managed by our team.
