FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't usually charge per hour anymore. Instead, I see what the job entails and give you an estimate. That way we are both at ease and I can focus on the work instead of rushing and you, as a customer, can relax since you know what you are paying before it's done. It's a win win.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My dad had always been the handyman of my family and extended family and they would always call him over for repairs, building/installing. Some projects required a second hand and I was always enthused to be picked for the job. It clicked with me on how simple the ideas of construction are and had turned into the handyman of my friends and my family because of that. Eventually I got a job in doing commercial maintenance and construction.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
What I love about this job is that I get to meet people of all types. I've worked with clients who are extremely meticulous about the process as well as customers only caring about the outcome. I've worked with clients who are there majority of the time supervising and I've worked with clients who are never there/not in the house when I'm working. I've also had clients who are not physically present and own Airbnb's and let me in via their lock boxes to do work. I've worked with clients who are not sure about what they want and have reached out for my consultation and I've guided them based on what they want and what will work. Working with people is such a privilege for me.
