David Passow was extremely helpful and efficient. We plan to use him in the future for more electrical work as well as other remodeling projects we have coming up. He also gave us a reference for a plumber who we have called and will review separately.
Brian has been amazing to work with. He is helping us remove/rebuild the walls for our kitchen remodel. He is quick and his work looks great! He helped us with our design on some places that we may have overlooked. Very fairly priced, we will certainly use him again if we ever need more remodeling!
Chris repaired the caulking and grout work in our bathroom and we are very happy with his work. Very professional, courteous and fast. I would not hesitate to recommend his company.
My kitchen and bathroom remodel project ended up much better than I expected, so I got my floors updated too! Thanks, LaRue!
Nick did a great job installing tile in my kitchen. He finished the project in only one day and even came back to fill a few holes in the grout that formed after drying.
Joe did an awesome job remodeling our staircase. We tore out all the carpet and didn't know what to do from there!! Joe came and gave us his ideas and listened to what we envisioned. The end result is exactly what we wanted!! Looks amazing and would recommend Joe to do your next project.
Jorge has so many talents, I ended up using him for most of a major house rehab. This was the sixth house I've rehabbed and it was great to have one contractor knowledgeable about so many things so I didn't have to wait on each specialty. Jorge drywalled, laid a wood laminate floor, put up baseboard, put in 2 toilets, ran plumbing and put in a new dishwasher, put up baseboard, ran a water line to the refrigerator, put in a new kitchen sink and countertop, leveled a wobbly ceiling fan, hung closet doors, as well as other things. He was there when he said he would be, worked until the job was done, and was pleasant to work with. I highly recommend him and will use him again.
I used Affordable Interiors to put new wood floors on the first floor of my house and to remodel my kitchen. The work went smoothly and I love the end result! I really enjoyed working with Nick and all of his craftsmen as everyone was friendly, trustworthy and very efficient. Alan, the kitchen designer, was helpful when I struggled with decisions and even went to other sources to find tile and glass options for me! I know everyone talks about how long and painful remodels can be but I was very impressed with the fast pace that Nick and his team accomplished! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them!
We hired GKR for a medium-sized job that included drywall, electrical, baseboard removal, kitchen island removal and painting (approx 1,100sf). Gary was very responsive with providing a quote, communicated when some unplanned issues arose during the course of the project, flexible on finding solutions and completed all agreed tasks on the timeline we discussed. Would definitely hire again!
I had the good fortune of discovering Roerdink Remodel through a business associate in the spring of 2017. At the time, what I needed was a handyman for a new investment property, and Dan Roerdink quickly showed his skill, professionalism, timeliness, insight, and good humor. Since then, I've purchased another investment property, this time a 2-Family, and Dan has become my right-hand man. He's done everything from plaster repair to custom carpentry, light electrical to plumbing, custom door framing / cutting / installation, window replacement, painting and lighting. Dan is truly an excellent contractor, a cut above the rest. Several of my clients in Property Management are now hiring him as well, with equally impressive results. If you're fortunate enough to find Dan with time in his schedule for your project, I would seize the opportunity! Feel free to contact me via Facebook for my business with any questions or to confirm the veracity of this review. - Kurt P. Coffin, Owner of Summit Property Management of Sheboygan.
Working with Steve was an amazing, POSITIVE contrast to previous contractors we've had in the house. We gave him a "test drive," by asking him to install a couple of windows. When we experienced his workmanship and dependability, we then contracted him to patch up the drywall and install the kitchen cabinets we had already ordered from another company. Dependable: Steve came when he said he would---or called when he was running late. He also went above and beyond what was "required" of him to do his job. We didn't have a car big enough to bring one of our windows home, so Steve picked it up for us, and brought it home! Quality of workmanship: His work was outstanding. Steve paid attention to big AND small details (leveling each of the cabinet doors!); carefully followed--or improved upon--the cabinet plans; touched up the paint that was scuffed when cabinets were installed; and cleaned up after himself every day. With the drywall, he took the time to go over it two or three times, until the new part was seamless with the old. With the window trim, he made a custom stain that beautifully coordinates the window trim to the cabinets, and gave me extra for our future use. Knowledgeable: He knows the code, and chooses to go beyond the minimum. He moved one of our windows, and told us the minimum header was eight inches. He chose to put in an ten inch header. When the rough work was done by the other contractors (plumber and electrician), he pointed out a couple of things that weren't up to code, and said we should be sure these details were done before the rough inspection. He helped me save thousands of dollars by walking me through how to be my own general contractor---at no cost to us. From time to time, Steve would even call me to see how things were progressing, and let me know the "next step," to keep things moving. He pointed out ways he could have saved me money on the cabinets, if I had ordered through him. We're hoping to do an addition on the house in a couple of years. When we do, we'll be calling this guy again. Thanks, Steve, for your outstanding workmanship! I LOVE our kitchen! :)
Working with Ryan and Renee was a true joy and pleasure. They completely understood my vision and the design we were looking for with our bathroom expansion and remodel. They did so much custom work to fit the aesthetic we were wanting in our new bathroom. The project was a expansion to our current bathroom of around 11 additional feet. They designed the whole layout along with creating the custom vanity, door, shelving unit and towel racks. Their work and design speaks for itself in the pictures attached but what is not shown is the relationship they both created with my husband and I. I truly felt listened to and understood. They both are so great to work with and, not if, but when we have more projects in our home, they will be my first call. I feel so lucky to have found them on Thumbtack and I would promote them to all my friends and co-workers that are looking for construction work. They even built us a custom barn door for our bedroom!! They are a perfect pair for their company and complement each other great. If you are considering them at all, please reach out to them... you won't be disappointed!
We had Tracy bros. do drywall repair, lighting, and kitchen ceiling remodeling. Everything from estimates, to the completed project was done in a timely manner and we couldn't be happier with the results. Would highly recommend them for any job
As a Realtor these are my go to guys to recommend to clients who need some updating prior to a sale or to make that new home truly one of a kind. Excellent work in kitchens, baths, flooring and more.
Rebecca was referred to us by a coworker. Our kitchen was very dated and needed a facelift. She came in with ideas beyond what I was looking for and could not have come up with on my own. I was surprised that I could have a more expensive looking design by combining different materials into a custom layout. I was happy to have worked with her.
I hired A&N Contracting to oversee and manage the kitchen renovation project at the Chandelier Ballroom. The venue is listed on the national register of historic places so we had a number of hurdles to overcome. A&N Contracting was efficient, knowledgeable, professional and cost effective. From the time they presented me with the initial bid until the project was complete, they were thorough, timely, upfront and honest. All of their sub contractors followed suit as well. I felt completely comfortable working with them and will be hiring them for another project soon!
Master bath remodel for senior citizens. New shower, sink, vanity, flooring, light placement, new fan, new lights.
We have worked with GTL on a few projects and are very satisfied with the results. They are great to work with - Glenn communicated with us every step of the way while the project(s) were in process. The sunroom addition was completed earlier than anticipated. Care was given to the existing structure and yard throughout the construction. GTL built a deck, put an addition on our kitchen, and did some remodeling work in our basement. The quality of work is exceptional and we highly recommend this company for those types of construction.
