Jim did a great job with taking our company group photo and individual head shots and editing them to our specifications. He listened to all our requests and the end product was exactly what were looking for.Nov 2, 2017Verified
Jim is super easy to work with.... very nice, professional and flexible! His work products are great.... he provided a lot more options than most other photographers. Turnaround time was excellent; proofs were sent to me less than a day later. I would definitely use him again and I highly recommend him to others. Thanks Jim, for this painless process.Aug 14, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Depending on what I'm doing, I simply like to price such that I'm getting $25 to $50 an hour. If someone nearby needs a quick portrait of their child, I'll charge $50. But, if I'm working several hours, I'll price closer to the $25 an hour mark.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Only in the way of staying on top of gear, plugins, trends, compression, the web . . . those sorts of things. The basics of photography and videography don't change much. It's like a car. You need an engine, a place to sit, and wheels. Everything thing else can change but the basic remains the same.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was in retail selling cameras and had a small freelance business on the side. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to join a ground floor company doing videos and photography. I had been in retail a number of years and it just felt like it was time to make a change. So, I said "yes". It's as simple as that.
