Violin Lessons
My 11 year old daughter had a great lesson with Laura to help prepare for the district solo and ensemble festival next week.

Violin Lessons (for adults)
I've always wanted to learn violin but never had the opportunity as a kid or young adult. When I did have the time and finances I couldn't seem to find a instructor that worked with adults or was taking on new students. Shortly before I turned 50 I met Laura and my journey began. Laura has been very patient and easy to work with. She challenges me in learning new things and continuing to polish the skills I've been working on from previous lessons. She has a wonderful warm and caring personality and you can tell she really loves teaching. I've seen her working many times before or after my lessons with kids and can tell she gives them the same care and attention and professionalism that I receive on my lessons. I would recommend her highly to any student.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Students typically pay for four lessons per month, by the beginning of the month. This is a total of two hours per month (for half hour lessons). Group lessons and recitals are an extra fee when offered. For young beginners I offer shared lessons when possible for the first six months to cut the cost ($15 per lesson) and allow parents to try out violin lessons and see if it's a good fit for their child before committing to a private lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We meet first to discuss details and answer questions. I offer the chance to observe a lesson of a similar age or level of student. Sometimes for young children it's helpful for them to observe more than one lesson to get comfortable.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelor degree in Music, Masters degree in Music, Suzuki teacher training through Book 2, many years of teaching workshops and conferences, childhood development and music education studies, many years as a performing violinist in orchestras.
