We had Pat's Movin and Haulin, move us and our 25 years full of household and furniture, all in one truckload! I watched them as they moved efficiently and methodically pieced everything securely and it was like a puzzle, for the most optimum transfer to our new place. Never having moved that big, with how much accumulates after that many years, I was amazed at how careful they handled everything, with how smooth it all went. We've referred them to many others and will continue to. Pat and his team are personable and professional in every way.

Arrived on time, worked like crazy, and finished the job much faster than I expected. Very professional and my furniture and appliances survived to move with no discernible damage. I'd highly recommend.

Nick and his crew from Dan's Moving moved a house of furniture out of storage and into my new home. They were on-time, courteous, and careful with all our belongings. Sometimes you have to worry about letting movers handle your valuable items, but that wasn't a worry at all with our Dan's crew. I don't hesitate in recommending Dan's Moving Van.

I highly recommend this efficient, friendly, organized and professional company for your next move. I contacted them when I was moving from the east coast to Wisconsin with a 17' van with the contents of my home there. It had taken a crew of seven 4 hours to load my van in NJ, their crew of two took a little over 2 hours to unload AND set up my bed and furnishings. They had stairs to navigate both up and down and I watched in awe how quickly they got me set up and comfortable. I had several stuffed 4-drawer file cabinets, some heavy electronic equipment, the king sized bed and mattresses, bookcases and boxes and boxes of books for them as well as close to 50 large plastic tubs with fragile art and family treasures that made it whole and unbroken in the move. VERY satisfied and would use them again.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.
