FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have about 10 years of experience in the HVAC and Home Performance fields. My education includes but is not limited too: Training and certificate licensing for residential hvac system design and quality installation per ACCA standard 5. Numerous hours of building performance training which helps us identify chronic health, safety, and comfort problems in your home, as well as 10 years of boots-on-the-ground experience, all of which ensures that your experience with us wont be an experiment or guess work. The solution to your problem will be addressed with the knowledge of individuals who have been doing this 3 times as long as me as well as 10 years of practical experience. This means we know what works and what doesnt.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my fondest recent projects is the installation of an adaptive heat pump. This system completely replaced the client's furnace and removed them from the useage of fossil fuels for heating. Through agressive analysis using cutting edge technology and building diagnostic we found that their comfort problems were the result of equipment that was too large and didnt run enough to offer the comfort the client was looking for. The client was dealing with a drafty feeling house in the winter time. After the installation of the adaptive heat pump the home has never felt cozier. The house is now described that it feels as if it has radiant heat!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The general questions I would advise thinking through before having a contractor take a look at your project (especially an equipment replacement job) would be as follows: Are there any rooms that dont heat or cool well? Are there any moisture or humidity concerns in the home? Does anyone in the home suffer from seasonal allergies? Hayfever? Asthma? Sensitivity to mold? I would advise you to pay attention to the contractor that you discuss your project with and see if they ask about these concerns, and if they dont? I would ask them about it and see what solutions they may or may not offer for these. These are all high priority questions and problems that should be addressed before you make that next 15-20 Year investment in your next HVAC system
