What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our business is built on integrity and honest, hard work. First, we find out the needs of our customer and give a price estimate that they are comfortable with. Then we find a time that works with their schedule to see the carpet and we plan to clean it at that time, if they agree with the final cost that we determine after we view it in person. If they agree to the final price, we will clean it and if we do not give a price that they are comfortable with, we do not go ahead with the scheduled cleaning. This process works well for our customers because they do not feel locked into something that is more than they planned to pay. We do not participate in bait and switch tactics, so common in this industry. Our customers come back again and again because they appreciate our integrity and honesty.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been IICRC certified in the past and taken classes in Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning.

Carpet cleaning: Minimum charge: $100. Average cost is between 20 and 28 cents per square foot. Pet Stains may incur an additional charge but are often included Sofa: $75 Loveseat: $65 Chair $35 Area rugs: $10 and up Fabric protection: 10 cents per foot
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We always wanted to have a family business. When we heard about a man who was retiring from carpet cleaning, we prayed about it, met with him, and decided to purchase his van and equipment. He trained us and then we took some classes from our detergent supplier. These classes taught us the basics and since then we have had 8 years of experience with all types of carpet and upholstery. Now our entire family of 8 is involved in the business, even our 10 year-old helps out with apartment cleanings and mailings.

Home-Owners, Property Management Companies, Renters who are moving out, Restaurants, Business-Owners.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently cleaned a home for a repeat customer. She has a lot of carpeting in the home and cleans every year. It took about 4 hours. It is such a good feeling to know she trusts us with her carpet and comes back to us ever year. This is very good for her carpet as it will preserve it by regular cleaning. We are very proud of our long-term relationship with so many of our customers and we would love to find more customers like her, who understand that clean carpet is important for many reasons.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask what steps they take to clean your carpets. We have 6 steps we follow with an optional 7th step of fabric protection. These 6 steps insure your happiness because they follow the guidelines of most carpet manufacturers. Our steps are shown in detail on our website, and we use all of these steps at each and every cleaning, except when they are not needed, to give the best possible outcome for our customers.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Try to find the square footage of the carpet or the number and size of each room being cleaned. Include closets, and mention whether they are walk-in closets. Don't forget halls, stairs, area rugs and upholstery. Mention pets if you have them, and if you are concerned about any odors or accidents that occurred and how you treated them yourself. Be honest about the condition of the carpet over the phone so the professional can visualize your situation realistically and the time it will take to clean it.
