- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I typically use estimating software to price work, but, every job is different and I use my experience to make adjustments. All jobs get a written proposal and here in Illinois they get a copy of the Consumer Rights Brochure issued by the Attorney General's Office.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet with them personally and discuss what it is they want to do. A lot of folks think they can get by without plans; for small projects this may be true. But for larger projects the investment in plans by an architect a designer will save money in the long run and eliminate disputes over interpretation of who wanted what.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I went to Kishwaukee College and NIU with majors in Industrial Technology. Later in life I also attended Northwestern University in Advanced IS Project Management and went to McHenry Community College to become a EMT
