- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
yes usally 4$ a carpet yd which is length x width( 12ft for carpet),devided by 9.example 15ft length x12ft goods devided by 9 = 20 carpet yds.i also charge 1yd for tearout and haul off,metal transistion strips 1 $ ft,stairs 5 $ a step,plus any floor prep to be determined prior to install.generally i like to come out and give a detailed estimate on every job so my customer kno9ws what there looking at before hand.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
to provide my customers with a good expierence and with a quality job that will last years to come.theres to many shoty installers out there and would also like to educate my consumer with the products there buying and how they should be installed properly so they get the quality and value out of there flooring that they piad for.90% of times that a flooring product fails it do to improper instalation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i have 28yrs in the flooring industry doing carpet ,carpet tile,ceramic tile, laminate flooring,luxury tile,and vct.i come form a flooring familyi have 6 relatives who are also in the industry and i am a third generation installer.my son is starting to install and will be the 4th generation flooring installer ,so its kind of in the blood.
