Introduction: I believe my work stands out because you will always get quality photographs, and you'll get them at an exceptional price. I really do believe that once you start taking pictures, you see the entire world through a camera lens. Every person, building, and natural structure has it's own unique perspective. It's my goal to capture that. I'm just starting out, so I'm very open to price negotiation and what the customer wants. My focus is on making sure their needs are met before my own. I like connecting with people, capturing their story in a single moment. Whether thats a family portrait or wedding, there are so many emotions to be caught in our lives, and getting to do that puts me on a personal level with the clients.

We were so fortunate to have Megan take our family pictures with our newborn. Unlike most studios where newborn sessions are done inside we were able to choose a location at an outdoor garden and incorporate more of our family tradition of walks in the park. Our younger children were 2 and 3 that had a hard time sitting still. This outdoor experience privided them with a better environment to be themselves naturally and Megan was able to really capture their personality in a way I have not seen a professional photographer do before. Having these beautiful candid shots were such a suprise and a joy to look at. Our focus was originally just for our newborn, which every detail such as her hands , hair, and small ears were taken close up, but Megan really captured the essence of our whole family dynamic. She really followed our suggestions and ideas of what we wanted pictures of and was very patient and worked great at doing it our way while following her own style and techniques. Its also wonderful to meet with someone who genuinely loves children and has such a passion for what she does. I would highly recommend Megan for any event. She will truly capture the moment!

As a first time mommy I knew maternity photos were a must for me. But with all the photographers to chose from it's so hard to decide. Megan Blake is kind, thoughtful, understanding and creative. When it comes to pictures, whether they be your first family photo shoot or your big day, you need someone who will keep your best interest at heart. Megan does all of this and more; from her creative input to her artistically designed finished products, she brings feelings to life using photos. I have foever memories of how I felt when I was a mommy to be and I am forever grateful for that. If you want to capture your feelings on paper - she's your girl!

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with photography as a teenager. I've always had a knack for taking pictures. In 2006 I went to New York City for 4 days with my high school Art Department and took almost 500 pictures. Fortunately enough, I later sold a series I shot of the Brooklyn Bridge, and have been snapping photos ever since
What types of customers have you worked with?
Recently I have done a lot of portrait and landscape work. I will be photographing my first wedding mid-August
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I did a mini maternity shoot for a woman, and will also do her newborn photos. She has had 3 high-risk pregnancies, and has entrusted me with capturing the moments when her new little one comes into this world.
