I had a great experience with Lyssa and Sarah at Clever Dog Creative and am happy to recommend them. They were very easy to work with, provided realistic deadlines that they met, and communicated with me regularly (but not overwhelmingly) as the project was under way. They were able to capture visually what I was only able to describe to them verbally. As a business and contracts lawyer who regularly helps businesses avoid problems internally (e.g., among shareholders) and with their employees, customers, and suppliers, I wanted a logo that showed that the firm is a solid operation and that visually communicated bringing two sides together to achieve their aims. I also liked the idea of having my initial in the logo and of having the logo include my practice areas so that, with one look, a prospective client or referral source to tell a lot about my firm. I think Clever Dog Creative captured this perfectly. Once the logo was created, I needed to update my website to fit the new logo and to be mobile optimized. I think they did a great job. The black and white has a classic feel to it, while the red in the logo adds just a pop of color that catches the eye. The professionals at Clever Dog Creative had a great process for figuring out what I liked and didnt like they knew the right questions to ask, then made suggestions based on their findings. I found the process not only easy, but fun. Their time and money estimates were both spot-on.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our websites are priced based on the project scope, with a 50% downpayment due to start. The next 40% downpayment is due after a live review meeting, during which the client sees and approves the content. When you're happy, so are we! We then ask for the final 10% to launch the website. See more about our process below. Customers are also responsible for purchasing the Wordpress theme separately. This is usually a $50-$100 one time fee, though sometimes annual charges apply depending on the theme. We offer Managed Wordpress Hosting to keep your website running smoothly, this is a quarterly fee and we are happy to discuss which tier of hosting is most relevant to the goals of your business.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Launching a website can seem like an overwhelming project - there are a multitude of steps and various decisions to make … many times it seems like it could be a process that takes a half a year. The good news is, it doesn’t have to take that long! When we work together on a project, we have processes in place that help move our team through the project with a typical start to launch timeline of only 2 to 3 months! Our process starts with a solid discovery phase to understand your needs and goals with the website. Once a basic concept is approved, we move into building the homepage and reviewing this design to confirm we’re on a satisfactory track. From there, we dive into content creation and designing out the internal pages. When that’s all set, we meet together to review the total design and create a comprehensive list of edits to finish before launch.

Our team is highly knowledgeable in Wordpress website design, with experience using a variety of themes and customizations to meet your needs. We also bring foundational SEO experience weaved into professional content writing to create a compelling website for your customers to visit, read and enjoy.
