FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every referral is unique and so the pricing for each is as well. I try to provide the lowest cost possible. The travel time needed, what equipment is required of me to bring, duration of event, etc., all of this has to be taken into consideration. The customer's referral with regards to how specific they are in the details really determines the pricing structure.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Under normal circumstances, I usually get most of my referrals through Thumbtack, Facebook, word of mouth, etc. First, we would exchange contact information and discuss customer expectations, the date of the event, the location, etc. so that I may determine pricing as no two events are the same. I then send out a contract with a deposit and arrange a place to meet to sign it or send it to the client by email for review. Depending on what is needed of me by the client, I normally stay in constant contact and have even met the client(s) at the venue so that it passes the 'eyeball test' for me and my services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In my line of work, I know there is additional education available; however, I have found that practice and OJT is just as important.
