Introduction: TEACHING TECHNIQUE
Love the Piano:
By initiating the piano sessions with games and in a fun way of learning, the students will look forward to attend to their piano lessons. I always try to make the learning experience seem like a game in order for students to perceive it as a fun activity instead of a task.
Learning to Play:
When the program starts, the students will learn to interpret easy musical pieces, which will stimulate them to continue each week with their piano lessons, and progress to a more advanced level of knowledge.
Learning to Read Music:
Even though I only instruct with classical pieces, students will learn to read the musical notes on the staff in a way that they can interpret any type of music of their preference, on their own time.
Learning to Memorize:
When we study each musical piece, we apply memorizing techniques on specific parts of a piece that seem to be difficult for the student to remember. This helps the student to complete every piece they start, getting to a point where they can play that piece from start to beginning.
Piano Recitals
The outcome at the end of the academic year, from August to June with a 1-hour class per week, the student will be able to read music and interpret the piano with at least three musical pieces for the final recital.
I love the idea that I can help children through music with their different skills that will make them competent and better individuals every day. Learning to play the piano is important for children to enhance their sensibility, discipline and patience, as well as their academic, social and physical skills.
