FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It all started with Grandma Phelps. She taught all of her kids and grand kids about giving and receiving. "It's always better to give than to receive." I love helping people when they feel down, or just being there no matter what. I would rather live a humble and modest existence so that others may have the things they need. Being a minister has truly opened my eyes to all of the wonderful things that are shared when two families decide to join together. I wouldn't give this up for anything!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am a wedding minister. I am very professional, so I hold myself to a very high standard of ethics. My clients will usually ask me to write the sermon and service from scratch, but also have pre-written services that anybody can choose from. I don't mind writing anything for my clients. I am very easy going and laid back, but I do expect to be kept in the loop if there is a change at the last minute. With that being said, I look forward to meeting all of my future "couples-to-be".
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone that is experienced first and foremost. Also, the states of West Virginia and Ohio require that all persons wishing to perform marriages must be registered with the Secretary of State. You can search for who is actively registered via the internet.
