- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've loved to sew since I was a little girl, this is all I wanted to do. So throughout school I took as many classes as I could to better prepare me for this field of work. I started in fashion clothing then moved to costuming, which was a lot of fun, then started draperies and window treatments and stuck with it for over 20 years now.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Panels- either pinch pleat or sheered on the rod. But I usually have a assortment of all kinds of projects.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they have the experience in the sewing field. Many small businesses are new comers to the sewing world, thinking it's so easy, and have no long time skill at it. It can make a deference in the final outcome of your project.
