FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved music. Since I was very young, music was always playing in my ears. It delighted and occupied my thoughts constantly. As I began to take guitar lessons with a very inspiring teacher named Sal Mancini, I knew that I had to pursue music in every capacity I could. Teaching, I realized, is a tremendously fulfilling outlet. Though I didn't originally intend to teach, I can't imagine a life in music any other way!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My experience in teaching, performing widely in various settings, and compositional knowledge brings into light the qualities and characteristics of the various styles, whether popular, jazz or classical. This knowledge can greatly help to understand music on a deeper level. "What sets one song apart from another?" "What is the relevance of this key change?" "How do the words affect the rest of the song?" investigating these types of questions can provide valuable insight that can inspire and clarify the goals of music making.
