FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to having earned advanced degrees in composition and piano performance, I stay current in my field by following living composers and new music, and even read academic journals on musicology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been passionate about music, and started performing and teaching part-time as a teenager. After earning a college degree in business, and working for a local entrepreneur in my hometown of NY, I decided to embrace risk and pursue what I felt compelled to pursue: I enrolled in graduate school and earned a master's and doctorate in music. Now I do what I feel I was designed to do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
As a performer, I play piano for wedding ceremonies, and sometimes for the cocktail hour after the ceremony. I have also played for local fundraisers, University celebrations, and church services. As a piano teacher, I have worked with students from age 5 to 65, whether beginners or advanced students.
