After a two-month survey of over 6,000 small business owners nationwide, Thumbtack.com has released new data showing that small businesses viewed Tucson unfavorably along most measures. The city earned F's for its tax code, its licensing requirements, and its zoning ordinances.
Some of the key findings for Tucson include:
- The one bright spot was the cost of hiring employees - Tucson earned an A+ as the #4 least-costly city nationwide for hiring new employees.
- Southeastern Arizona ranks as the state's least friendly region for small business.
