I began woodworking professionally in 1972. A potter from a wealthy family put up a 3,000 s.f. shop for the both of us. Within months, I was up and running, designing and building my own furniture, restoring antiques and repairing furniture, as well as building a windshield for a boat (with very complex compound bevels and curves), working with plastic laminates and woodcarvings.
Michael Childs specializes in unusual custom projects from boats to wine racks. His most recent successful job is converting an old front door to a Dutch door. For three years, his client was told it could not be done, but with his forty years of experience as a woodworker and carpenter, it was made possible.
My best clients want something out of the ordinary, something that requires out-of-the-box problem solving. I sink my teeth into each project and don't let go until it's done. I do my job to the highest standards I know of. I don't nickel and dime my customers.
Michael offers the kind of performance that brings clients satisfaction for years. Try it now!
