A Lovely Ruckus

Introduction: A Lovely Ruckus is here to make some beautiful noise. Alex Rasmussen and Geli Wuerzner joined forces nearly two years ago in Seattle and found a unique sound through the combination of their eclectic musical experiences. This male / female fronted folk-rock group is guaranteed to catch your ear with soulful vocal harmonies and move you with heartfelt performances on the acoustic guitar and violin. With over 100 performances under their belt in 2016--including a month-long tour from Seattle to New Orleans and back--the group is roaring full-speed into 2017. The band pays tribute to many of the greats--Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Frank Sinatra--while also playing some of their own music and a few contemporary classics. They have a sound system, and can play for up to four hours. For larger gigs, a drummer and bass player will join the guitarist and violinist.
