- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please look at musician's credentials when choosing them to play for any event. These credentials are very important. As an owner and professional musician myself, I have years of professional experience in all aspects of this industry as well as two degrees. All of my musicians have at least a bachelors degree if not more, such as myself, a Masters Degree. The three most important things to look for: Credentials and Experience: Does this person provide a bio, resume, credentials? Samples of their playing? Can they justify their price: Ask for what your money pays for! Expect to pay more for higher quality musicians and less for less experienced ones. Most of the time there is a huge difference in quality but no so much in price-go with the highest quality musician What are they providing you? Ask for detailed service list of exactly what they offer. For example, my business offers service but also travel, mileage, travel time, arranging, and booking fees. Don't forget to factor travel and mileage into a musician's wages.
