FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
To provide an accurate quote, we’ll need a few details about your move. Please let us know if you’re relocating from a house, apartment, business, or storage unit, along with information about your destination. Will either location be on the ground level? If not, how many flights of stairs are involved at each location? This helps us tailor a quote to your specific needs. Our price starts at $125.00 per hour with a 2-hour minimum requirement, which includes a team of 2 experienced movers. Additional team members may be necessary based on the size and scope of your move. We offer same-day services with morning or afternoon appointments, depending on availability. A trip fee is applied based on mileage and covers travel for the team, and/or the truck use, and fuel expenses. Additional charges may apply for specific conditions such as steps, inclines, declines, etc. Hand trucks and dollies are available for use, free of charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We’re happy to communicate through Thumbtack initially to gather basic information and answer any general questions. However, to finalize your move, we require a phone conversation to ensure we have all the necessary details to properly plan and execute the job so we can provide an accurate quote. To reserve your appointment, a retainer fee is required. This fee secures your selected date and time and will be applied toward your total balance upon completion of the move. Please note that the retainer is valid only for the specific date and time reserved. Once the fee is received, you will receive an appointment confirmation outlining all details communicated, along with acknowledgment of your retainer payment. Any changes to the scheduled date or cancellations made after the deposit is received will result in the forfeiture of the entire retainer fee.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before starting my own moving company, I spent a total of 17 years working with logistic companies such as FedEx and DHL, where I developed a strong foundation in customer service and learned what it takes to run a successful business.
