The Dog Wonder

After trying in vain to find a school that would train a dog for her son James's special needs, Katherine High decided that if she couldn't find anybody to help her, she would just have to do it herself.

My son has epilepsy and many other disabilities, and after trying to get my son a service dog and being told several times by many world-renowned service dog schools that I could not get my son a service dog...

Her ferocious love for her son had awakened a passion and talent inside her that she didn't even know she possessed. After successfully training a dog to cater to her son's many needs, she has since taken her skills to a different level. She garnered certification and started private training of dogs for other people with special needs. Despite the lack of facilities, her passion and determination have allowed her to achieve things that most other dog trainers have said was impossible to do by any single dog.

My favorite project was training a multitasked service dog named Dusty. She is a collie and was trained from puppyhood to guide a brain injured client as well as to assist him with hearing alert and to take him to a safe place when his dementia kicks in. We exposed Dusty to become route trained so the client only has to say "store" and she will take him to the store...

If you are looking for a person who never takes "no" for an answer and can work wonders with your dog, check out Katherine High, and see the dog wonder in action!
