This is our 2nd time having Damian DJ for our big 4th of July party on the lake! He also DJ'd at my daughters wedding last year! We obviously love his work!!! He started out mellow with some 60's, 70's, and 80's tunes for us older folks in the afternoon and as the sun went down the music went up!!! He played a lot of popular music for the kids (upon request) so they could have fun too. He played a special song just for them so they could perform a dance for us that they worked on for the event! He even played it twice so anyone who missed it could see it. He let my grandson sit back with him and mix it up (DJ Dan). EVERYONE was up dancing!! The sound, lights, and music was AWESOME!!! Damian even entertained us with a little of his own moves!!! We have had such great experiences with him that we would now like to make him a part of our annual 4th of July party at the lake/farm!!!! Very accomadating and after the kids went to bed we were able to end the night with some of our favorites (and a little guitar playing). Let's do this again Damian!!!!! OH, and the price is right!!!!!

Damian was great. We were looking for a DJ on such a short amount of time with a reasonable amount of money for our wedding budget. We also had a difficult song to purchase for our first dance and he went through hoops to get it for us. If you are looking for someone to play your music and interact only with announcements for a great price I definitely recommend him. Thanks again Damian!

When I posted a request on Thumbtack looking for a last-minute DJ (only 10 days' notice), Damian was one of only two DJs to respond. His quote was excellent, I liked the description of his work philosophy on this website, his reviews seemed excellent, and after meeting him I decided to hire him. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Although it was an unusual venue for a DJ (someone's house), I wanted to have a dance party to celebrate an important promotion at work. Damian was fantastic. He played exactly the songs I wanted to hear (a lot of 70s funk from a list I gave him ahead of time) and mixed it up with more modern songs for the younger crowd. His sound and lights system was fantastic. About 60 people came to the party, and almost everyone danced! Many of us danced for over 3 hours straight and had a fabulous time. Damian is a true artist, because he finds a way to incorporate strange requests (like CCR in the middle of a dance party) in a way that will please the person making the request, without driving everyone off the dance floor (i.e., he waited until most of the dancers were taking a break for food, then transitioned into CCR by playing Rolling Stones and one or two other Rock songs; after the request, he ramped it back up to the dance music that most others liked). I am really grateful to Damian for being such a conscientious, outstanding DJ. Thanks to him, I was extremely happy and had a wonderful time. More important, I keep getting comments from people who attended the party telling me that it was by far the best party of the year, and that they loved the DJ.

Damian was so easy to get along with and very open to ideas. We had a very restrained budget for our very quickly approaching wedding, and he met our needs and our expectations through working with us. We loved that we were able to meet with him in person, and he's very easy to talk to which is a great aspect to have in anyone you hire. His music sounded great, and he was really just such a helpful guy and really loved to be able to do so.

Damian did our daughters sweet 16 birthday party. All the music was appropriate and the song selections were arranged to keep everyone engaged. He did a nice job and we would definitely have him again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing has maintained the same hourly rate for 10 years, at $100/hr. There is a deposit of $100, payable by cash, check, or the Facebook Payments option in Facebook Messenger to reserve the date, etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After being hired, a detailed conversation, either in person or through text and email, to find out details on any specific songs or styles of music that would be preferred, length of performance, etc. and give details on payment of deposit to hold the date, & the remaining balance the day of event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional musician, vocalist, and performer my entire life. Have been a solo artist and member of many different types of bands for the last 25 years, and have owned, ran, and performed as Andersongs for the last 10 years through Thumbtack!
