FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I find out if they are buying or selling. If they are buying, I ask if they have been pre-approved yet, as that is the very first step to home ownership, then find out there criteria, get them set up on the Northstarmls which is the listing service. If a client is selling, I do something called a CMA and estimated net work sheet, then go from there.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into the real estate field because it offers flexibility, which with a family, that is what I want to have. I worked at an area hospital for over 20 years, and although I enjoyed working with the staff, I truly enjoyed the patients. Because I felt that I was not being treated with respect, I left. Thought it was a good time to be my own boss, and take care of my family, which is my priority.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
If a client wants to sell there home, the first thing I do is something called Competitive Market Analysis (CMA) to get an idea of what similar homes have sold for, or has other activity on it, so we can get a ballpark figure, then figure out what would set yours apart from the ones that are currently listed. I encourage everyone to start your purging process, because you definitely do not want a clutter look for pictures. Your going to be moving anyway, good way of getting a head start. You don't have to do anything fancy either. I am not a believer of staging, just because most peoples houses do not look that way anyway. Keep it real.
