Michael M. says, "I’ll cut right to the Chaney: I would hire Yuwel for my next electrical project on a New York minute. And I’m not even from New York. No question. Please read to learn why this young man is both competent and ethical, and someone you can trust. Yuwel and I agreed to an appointment time and he was there on the dot. I will admit I was a little taken aback by his youthful appearance and soft-spoken demeanor. Those misgivings vanished within the next ten minutes. I had called him out to remove and replace a ceiling fan. My spouse had replaced a 60-watt burned out bulb with a 100-watt bulb and the light unit immediately failed. The light fixture was rated for a max 69-watt lamp. I had a major kitchen lighting project underway and I asked the electrician to evaluate the situation. Both he and his assistant agreed it would be cheaper to just replace the fan rather than try to repair the light fixture. Fast forward a couple of months and Yuwel is there to install the new ceiling fan with lights. He said to wait a second. He wanted to check out the dimmer switch. He said the switch may have failed when the 100-watt lamp was turned on. He made some test and determined the switch had indeed failed. I went to Lowe’s, purchased a $25 dollar dimmer switch. Returning home, Yuwel had the new switch installed within minutes and the light unit was functional. Now Yuwel could have simply just proceeded withe fan remove and replace. It certainly would have involved more labor. But he took a moment and thought outside the box and asked himself a question. Something neither with prior electrician or his assistant bothered to do. The invoice was 40% less than the original estimate. I ended up purchasing a $25 dimmer switch and returning a $90 ceiling fan. I am so impressed with this young man’s professionalism, expertise, insight, and I hope you will be too. Yuwel doesn’t have many ratings rate on Thumbtack. If this review helps his reviews increase in number, he shouldn’t thank me. Just his competency and meticulous work."See more
