After a two-month survey of over 6,000 small business owners nationwide, Thumbtack.com has released new data showing that small businesses rate New York City among the least friendly cities nationwide for its tax code and burdensome regulations.
Some of the key findings for New York City include:
- New York City earned an 'F' for the ease of starting a small business, as the #4 most difficult city nationwide for starting a new business.
- New York City ranks as the state's second-worst region to start a business.
