Introduction: As young as I may be, I've spent a good 15 years of my life immersed in the music world on all levels, My experience ranges from one end of the musical spectrum to the other from folk to rap, and everything in between. I am an extremely dedicated teacher with a deep rooted passion and love for music and the art of playing the guitar. With each student I spend the time and energy necessary to create a lesson plan specific to fulfill his or her needs and goals. Guitar is tough, and in the beginning and its easy to get discouraged by the initial physical hurdles. Over the years I've developed so many tips and tricks over the years to help one get over these quickly and efficiently, while keeping their eye on the goal and just try to enjoy the process. Nothing has quite given me the same satisfaction as teaching. I truly love the process, sharing a unique musical experience with a client and watching them become a confident capable guitarist, not to mention hopefully learning a thing or two myself along the way!

I came to Thumbtack looking for a teacher who would fully customize lessons to my goals and make learning guitar FUN. Aaron is not only a fantastic guitar teacher, he is a great guy. Super accommodating, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. Our first lesson I told him that I want to learn to play all the punk rock songs I loved in high-school. Thereon out, each lesson Aaron has asked me which songs I want to learn and we learn them, incorporating theory and technique as called for by the songs I choose. I'm shocked by the progress I've made, which I attribute to the fact that I have ownership over what I'm learning. Guitar lessons with Aaron immediately became a highlight of my week; the ideal after-work de-stressor. I look forward to many more months of lessons!

My 15-year-old son is taking weekly lessons with Aaron. He is a skilled and patient teacher; my son is progressing very nicely. Aaron even helped my son choose a guitar to purchase. I recommend him very highly.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally take the first lesson or two to get a feel for where my student is at, learn about their influences, goals then take that information and create a lesson plan tailored to my student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an active producer artist, performer, writer, in the proffessional music world. I also currently continue to practice 4+ hours a day!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ive been playing guitar since I was 11 years old, its been my passion ever since. Teaching keeps me excited and I always find myself learning new things with every student I teach.
