Not only did "Magicman" exceed our expectations of balloon twisting, but once he arrived he seemed to get the kids really into the party. He made special balloons that each child picked themelves. He can make anything! He made spongebob squarepants for my friend's daughter and it was perfect. He had shorts, legs, the head and even a red tie. there is nothing that Magicman cannot make. He also painted the kids faces afterwards and it was awesome! The kids were so excited and they each got to bring home their own unique balloon. After he had left the kids were excited about the rest of the games and activities that we had planned for my son's 1st birthday. Magicman was professional, timely, friendly, skilled, and great at what he does. He was the best part of my son's party and he seemed to kick the party off.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I specialize in working with children and family audiences. The most common events I do are birthday parties. I also do events for corporations, PTA's, libraries, and community organizations.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do not book the first person that answers the phone. Just like any other service, you should contact as many entertainers as you can to see which will provide the service you want at the cost you deserve. If you feel pressured or rushed, be wary. Is that entertainer just trying to make a buck or are they genuinely interested in entertaining children.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. There are many children's entertainers in the area. Some would have you believe that you have to pay a premium price to receive premium service. This is not the case at all. Many local entertainers, including myself, have a large amount of experience and charge reasonable rates. You must do your research to find the one that best suits your needs. You should never book with the first person you contact.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. You should have, at minimum, a few dates picked out for your event. You should also have times and locations in mind. A good entertainer will ask questions to decide whether their service is appropriate for your event.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I provide the same high level of customer service that you would expect from other entertainers at a cost that doesn't empty your wallet. You can have fantastic entertainment at your event without the high pressure sales pitches and ridiculously high fees. I only work with children and families, so my act is always 100% clean fun.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Being a magician allows me to take a group of children and bring them to a magical place where anything can happen. See that spark of wonder ignite in their eyes is by far the best part of my job.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Q: What age group is appropriate for your show?

A: My shows are designed for children between the ages of 4 and 9. My shows also appeal to family audiences of all ages.

Q: Do you use music or a sound system?

A: I use a sound system and music when it is appropiate for the event. My job is to entertain your guests and they will not be entertained if they cannot hear me.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: I am 100% insured and never use tricks or effects using fire or other dangerous items.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. One of the greatest things about being a magician is talking with the kids after the show. A lot of times kids will tell me that they have magic tricks at home, and sometimes they ask me if I can teach them how to do magic. Every once in a while a child will come up and tell me that they want to be a magician just like me. It makes me feel like a million bucks.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Being a children's entertainer requires patience and a love of working with children. It does not matter if you do shows only on the weekends or full-time. A great entertainer is always able to bring peels of laughter and leave lasting smiles.
