Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that Cleveland earned an 'A-' grade for its overall small business friendliness, placing it right behind Columbus, but well ahead of Cincinnati.
Some of the key findings for Cleveland include:
- Small businesses gave Cleveland an 'A+' for its training and networking programs, and also rated it among the top cities for ease of hiring additional employees.
- Despite the city's solid performance overall, Cleveland received a 'C' grade for its zoning regulations.
