Patrick strives to hear laughter from his subjects and audience when he draws, not "oh, isn't that nice (yawn)." And the louder the laughter, the funnier the drawings get!
Patrick does not draw every face the same. With over 20 years of experience, he also has a sixth sense for the more sensitive sitter and handles them appropriately (though he's not a mind reader).
Patrick specializes in cartoony humorous, fun likenesses and captures the uniqueness of each person (and/or animal). He has worked seasonally as a professional caricaturist at Sesame Place, Wildwood and Atlantic City, NJ boardwalks, Philadelphia Phillies games, The Sunoco Welcome America Event in Philadelphia, and numerous private and corporate events including pet store grand openings and dog birthday parties.
Patrick has served as political and editorial cartoonist for the Irish American and Fillmore Herald newspapers and is presently serving as the editorial cartoonist for the Black Urban Times.
He has won grand prize and 1st place awards in the Homer Davenport International Political Cartoon Contests and won an award for Party/Retail Style at the 2004 NCN Convention.
He has illustrated coloring books, comic strip and comic book projects, and his comic strip "Windy Gap" was syndicated. His digital caricature of Marilyn Monroe is published in a compilation book, "Marilyn in Art," by Chaucer Press 2006.

We had seen regular digital Caricatures at another event and planned on having it for our kids double bday party. A friend of ours recommended Harringtoons and when Pat told us about his new Caricamation the kids and I were all blown away!
Everyone was saying how cool and unique it was and we even emailed the animations to our relatives in Ireland who are still raving about it! It really is the coolest thing we've all ever seen from both sides of the pond!

For my daughter's 10th birthday party, we wanted to do something different. Pat came to our house and did the caricamation on each of the kids attending. They all loved it and so did I! I even had mine done! I certainly recommend Harringtoons. Pat was very professional and courteous and I scored high points with my daughter.

There are lots of things I like about my job, meeting fun different people of all walks of life, sharing in and being part of the joy and memories of their special days, getting to draw new different faces...
But what do I LOVE about my job?

ANIMATION and the immediate accessibility of social networks and multi-media is rapidly evolving.
It used to be it took days, WEEKS to make an animation, but just as with everything else, the technology is at the point where animations can now be created very quickly.
I believe the evolution of static visual caricature is going to meld with the world of audio and animation and that is

How does it work?
Each theme animation is discussed beforehand and ready to play at your event., or choose from numerous popular pre- made themes.
