- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We generally start with a phone call to really gauge out your needs and the best program fit for you. We want to make sure that our training is holistic and unique to your situation and dog so straight after we start planning our syllabus.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We have two trainers here at Dedication Dog Training, here's their start in their own words: Trainer Sal: I got my start growing up in Skagit County with my first dog Fawn. She's a spitfire cattle dog and she started showing aggressive tendencies, especially biting at hands. Working through those problems ignited a lifelong passion for dogs. I started in 4-H, graduated to learning under Summer at Puppy Perfectors in Columbia City, and finally starting my own company. Since starting my own company I have trained over 200 dogs, received education in many more styles, and honed my knowledge of service dog and behavioral cases. Trainer Kimberlee: My journey as a dog trainer began in the same place I find most of my clients: overwhelmed with an out-of-control dog. After adopting Grimm in 2017 and quickly feeling beaten down by his aggressive and unruly behaviors, I hit rock bottom and decided to take charge. Determined to fix my dog’s behavior to save his life, I went through all the popular training methods until finally finding balanced training and, at last, got real results.
