We hired Eagle Painting for the popcornremoval. They offered reasonable price and did a good job. They had plastic to cover everything and leave no trash nor powder when they left. The ceilings are flat in most part. They also sanded and painted the ceiling well after the popcornremoval. If I need painting related job in the future, I will hire them again.

Very pleased with the results of our popcorn ceiling removal. Project was completed on time, on budget, and turned out wonderfully. Would absolutely recommend and hire Alpha General Services again. So glad we found this great, hardworking company.

Overall Alpha did a good job removing our popcorn ceiling. The team is responsive and pleasant. They were not juts punctual but even finished things ahead. However, the potential improvement would be the precision and tidiness of work. There is still popcorn along the edge of the ceiling, and dust at corner, there were also paint everywhere and some tapes in our front yard. If you are rushing to finish the project go for it, if you require exactness and cleanness, they are probably not the best choice.

Pedro was fast at responding, did what he said he would do, and was pleasant to work with. Prices were also very competitive. He also ended up helping fix a small roof repair since we discovered a leak during the popcornremoval work. I will hire again.

Marque and his team were awesome. He removedpopcorn ceiling and did some painting in our house, including on a wood ceiling, before we moved in. We was very responsive and provided me with photo updates along the way. It was a huge stress relief to have the work done before we moved in. Looking forward to working with him again.

I had my popcorn ceiling removed, ceiling retextured and painted by Pros Home Painting. They were responsive, professional and friendly right from the start. I was given updates frequently throughout the project. The finished product exceeded my expectations and I would strongly recommend using this company for any drywall or painting work. These guys don’t just get the project finished, they do what needs to be done so it is done correctly.

Izaias and his stepson Felipe did an excellent job removing stubborn, many times painted over popcorn ceiling from my new home. The ceilings look great and everything was clean.
They were able to easily accommodate my deadline for completing the work before I moved in. When we met for an in person estimate, I found them to be warm and funny, and it was clear they care about their work and the more customers.
There is a lot of room for more effective communication, though.
For example, there is no way to sign the contract online. In my case, due to differences in our schedules, the work started before I was able to sign it in person, which would not have been my preference.
Second, there’s a clause in the contract saying there can be an extra $300 charge if the popcorn is hard to remove. They had been clear that my popcorn was difficult, and I expected the additional charge. However, texting me “You know there’s an additional $300 charge, right?” after sending the invoice was not transparent and should have been addressed.
They also called, texted and messaged me multiple times, including once at 10pm, to request a review after I had told them I’d be happy to leave a review but I was moving and it would take a little while. I felt this was really intrusive and unnecessary.
I recommend them for their work but communication could be better.

I can’t recommend Amilton enough, stop searching you’ve found your painters! We had them remove 500sqft of popcorn ceiling and they did a great job responding quickly and starting work right away. They were able to finish the job a day early by working long hours. Their work was great quality and they left my home clean and in great condition when they were finished. These are the guys you want to hire, I feel lucky I found them and will use them for future projects.

Ever and his team encapsulated our plaster and lathe ceiling with drywall. We had another contractor remove the popcorn and when he found a corner underneath that was sagging he said it would have to be replaced. We had already received estimates to encapsulate it so we called Ever. He was able to fit us in on short notice. Their attention to detail was outstanding from the beginning to the end. Took very good care of our home, installed the drywall, prepped it for painting, primed and painted. They were also able to fix and prime the wall where we had removed old picture rail and installed a light box for our new light fixture. We are very pleased with their work.

Actually I can't rate him as he didn't do the work. After seeing 5 stars I contacted him. May be Thumbtack is not that reliable. He came to our condo and confirmed that popcorn ceiling removal will be done in 3 sections as we are currently living in the condo and confirmed the start date to be Dec 1st on a signed contract. I moved everything from our master bedroom. Dec 1st he came with his worker who was not briefed properly and he was pretty rude and denied to do the work. Dec 2nd another worker who was also not briefed came saw our condo and left. After half an hour he texted that he will only work if we increase the price. I do not understand what is the meaning of a signed contract if its not valued.
