FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For Students: My first step with any potential student is to arrange a free trial lesson, so the student, parent (if applicable), and I can assess if we are all a good fit for each other. I like to know if the student has any prior playing experience, what kind of music/goals they are interested in, and how much time they will have each week to dedicate to practicing. For Private Events: My first step with clients planning an event is to discuss budget, event size, song requests, number of preferred musicians and length of services, along with any questions they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance, and I am a Suzuki-trained violin teacher.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began performing for private event and parties at 12 years old, and I've been hooked on making people's special moments come to life through music ever since! I first began teaching as a senior in high school, when interested students began approaching me at public performances. Since then I have studied hard to become the best teacher I can for my students, earning two degrees in music and participating in Suzuki Method teacher training each year to further hone my skills as an educator.
