Organic Gardens in Small Spaces
I started Gardenerd as a part-time endeavor and decided to make the leap in 2008 to full time. It began as a blog offering organic gardening advice, and then classes followed shortly thereafter. Once I began consulting and doing design work, it became clear that I needed to make this my career.
Growing your own garden in the midst of the city is no longer just a far-fetched dream. Christy Wilhelmi works around space constraints and makes it possible for a lot of Los Angeles homeowners to have their own slice of organic heaven.
[Choosing a favorite project] is like choosing a favorite child, but if I had to choose one, I'd say this Malibu garden was a great success. We worked with the client's contractor to build custom raised beds that tied into the design elements of their new home. The homeowner added her own touches, and we ended up with a beautiful garden that the family can enjoy for years to come.
Christy is proud of the many clients she has earned over the years, primarily through word-of-mouth referrals. She keeps them coming by answering questions in a timely manner, actively listening to their needs and customizing a design based out of those needs.
With 20 years of knowledge and experience, Gardenerd can help you have the successful, organic vegetable garden you've always wanted.
